If you was in charge and you still had a decent chance of survival. As a manager, would you be happy with playing 45 mins plus with zero attempts at goal? What is the point?

No I would not be happy but how is it Bowyers fault this lot are shot shy? It's not his fault Butterfield pissed about instead of shooting as it's not his fault they would rather pass than shoot. This is a mental issue, they're pussies.

We as a support base have been served with such shite over the last 15 months, with relegation, 5 managers, Rahic, that the obvious thing to do is cling to hope that change can happen for the better.
But are we guilty of wanting success so much that we look beyond what is in front of us? Are we clinging to the resume of a man rather than judging him on his record at Bcfc?

His record is so far, disappointing but I'm more concerned that he got a tune out of them against Peterborough but has failed since. Peterborough any worse than Oxford or Blackpool?

Is that truly just down to the players or is a failing on the part of Bowyer?

For me though, is 5 games enough to judge?

And i guess that's the point , nothing is Bowyers fault ! The issues and constraints with the squad are well documented and he's having to work with the cards he has been dealt. However he knew that before joining us and despite this stated "We are totally aware of the challenge that lies ahead but if I didn’t believe we couldn’t get out of this, I wouldn’t be here."

Pre and post match soundbites are ten a penny but we are going down without a wimper and are we seeing anything that justifies the confidence he is the manager to take us forward. Genuine question.

It is very dissapointing for yet another manager to struggle with this squad. I am not confident we have found the right manager. Very few managers are able to walk into a club and function without the ability to bring in their own type of players at this level. So it is extremely difficult to judge him on output with all the challenges and constraints.

We have a squad of players who are lacking in confidence and the massive pressure of needing to win every match and the spectre of league 2 hanging over them. This squad of players have been done for awhile now. We have seen some poor teams at VP over the years, and this one is right up there. Yes is was the scattergun approach to assembling a squad, without a thought about character, mental toughness, many were recruited on name only and not how they would fit into the team.

We have some extremely tough choices as we descend into league 2, and Gary Bowyer will be key. He needs to go through the squad with a fine tooth comb, and identify players who he can use and fit into the squad, and a list of players who we need to move on. Julian and ultimately Stefan will need to fund their paid up contracts. We cannot compete in league 2 with half the squad unusable, and allowing the toxic atmosphere to continue. I am guessing but it is my view we have a number of disgruntled players who are whinging and no doubt want away. This cannot continue into next season.

Do we have the right manager? Well at this stage who knows, but we just cannot continue sacking managers and starting again, it is crucial we choose a manager and stick with him come what may. Gary Bower, has a track record of working in difficult situations and being successful and although that still does not give us any guarantees it is the best indicator we have, because I just cannot judge him on results this season.

As I've said previously you simply cannot judge the manager until he gets his own players in, and hopefully manages to ship most of the contracted dross away from the club. Nobody whatsoever would be able to turn this lot around.
I also think many people are looking at the Peterborough game through rose tinted specs. Yea at the end of the day it turned into a convincing victory and we certainly played some good stuff at times. BUT.....for70 mins it was fairly even and the first goal was always crucial. Had Peterborough got it I'm sure we would have ended up looking at a similar scoreline in reverse. Ás we know this lot do not have any sort of mental toughness to fight back and that is in no way the fault of Gary Bowyer!

This squad have only ever comeback once, from being behind. That was to claim a 1-1 draw.

It goes to show how weak they are and don’t have the stomach for a battle.

How anyone can blame Bowyer, when he’s come in at possibly their lowest ebb Is beyond me.
We’re down, the players know this, the manager knows this, the CEO knows this, the owner knows this and the fans know this.

Use the remaining time wisely, to look at those still contracted beyond the end of the season. Getting rid of him at the end of the season, will continue the cycle of decline we seem to be stuck in.

He may not be the best man, but he isn’t a novice, has managed at a higher level and will hopefully stabilise the club, so that the next manager isn’t left with a complete shambles on and off the pitch. I think he’ll put round pegs in round holes.

Let’s stop the constant negativity and pull together. Those firing criticism at Bowyer are aiming at completely the wrong target.

So doesn’t deserve to be dropped?

For all his talent there seems to be flaws in his mental approach and probably why he was on the bench 11 of his 18 appearances for Blackburn. Hopkin was reluctant to start him at first, and now it seems Bowyer thinks the same.

Only problem is, Bradford City can’t wait for Jack Payne to decide to join in again.

I have my doubts that a combination of Klopp, Guardiola and Fergie, assisted by a talented medium channeling Busby, Paisley and Ramsey could do anything with that shyster of a squad.

What's needed is the football managing equivalent of Picolax in the summer. Someone that will banish the vast majority of that team quickly and efficiently straight down the porcelain where they belong.

Well I'm going to upset you because I'm going to put some blame on Bowyer. Hes basically had 5 free hits out of 11 and completely missed 4 of them and probably got lucky first time !? The least you expect from a new manager coming in is some sort of reaction from the players ?. But they've just carried on regardless and he's done nothing. I've repeated time and again the three very basic asks I had of him and he's failing them.

And yet we have Rhodes seemingly sat poised to offer him a two year deal ? On what basis is "the exhaulted one" arriving at that decision ? The very most I would offer Bowyer is a one year rolling deal. I'm far from convinced he's the man that will turn this around. In fact I'll state now he won't be because that man (like Parky) is probably 2-3 changes away ?

That dressing room needed a real shake up and Bowyers just too darn nice and the players see that. None of them fear him ? As someone said its like listening to "Ozzy Osborne" ?. I'm absolutely sure had we appointed Steve Evans there would have been a reaction on and off the field over the past 5 games. A no one likes us siege mentality would be pervading and Evans gets into the heads of the opposition !

Rhodes offering two year deals to a manager who's doing worse than the previous one is typical Rhodes. He should only be talking at the end of the 11 games and as of now P1 W1 D0 L4 is not the right moment to be signing him up.

Bowyer has managed footballers that's what "he does" isn't it but he's not managing these footballers very well at all.

Agree with the above apart from the Steve Evans bit...
There's not going to be many of us rattling around VP next season as it is......

Maybe @Glenn Ackroyd@Glenn Ackroyd or @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler can explain to you why Mr Rhodes is awarding failure?

If Bowyer is to sign a his reporting 2 year contract I don't want any excuses next season!

It's like Bradford City has forgotten that football is about RESULTS!

Easy option - it’s the Bradford way. Similar to the £150 season ticket - easier to sell a shit product on the cheap than to work at building a decent product and getting value for it.

It's not even about that anymore mate.

Business is about results and we have forgotten the art of that.

Bradford as a City forgets that also that's why we're miles behind Leeds.

    It's unacceptable!

I thought that with all the ideas he comes up with he was on the verge of offering to buy the club then he can put his plan into action .
He keeps going on about fans being acceptable as to what is happening at the club what he hasn't realised is he is under the same umbrella as he can't do anything about it either unless he buys the club.
Cmon @Fordy117@Fordy117 time to make that change you want show the rest of us the money.
