Gary Bowyer - manager next season

Give over, Anderson has been ineffective (I would personally saw abysmal) in every game he’s played with the exception of Peterborough when he was ok at best. Payne has single handedly carried us for large parts of this season, has battled, scored and assisted throughout.
Bowyer can not sit at his desk during the week and justify that the best chance of winning a game is by dropping one of our (if not the) best players for one of our worst. At worst, he does it once and learns from his mistake, but not every week, not by saying he’s the least important today of the loanees.

Payne wasn't in the squad. He started last week.

He was dropped. We know the ruling. Even if the ruling wasn't in place he would of been in on bench maybe which like NKP he was DROPPED!

You honestly think that Payne doesn't think he was dropped from the squad? Behave mate!

 

Deluded mate, but not unexpected, he wasn't in the squad because of the loan rule, stop being silly and accept your wrong.

Bowyer didn't start him for his first 2 games, subbed him against Oxford the subbed him at half time last week.

Not arguing so much about Anderson but Payne has been very poor since January and he was abysmal first half last week. I think he plays Anderson because he is more physical and can put a tackle in and adds balance he is not good enough but unless he picks his ideas up I wouldn’t play Payne again

Hopkin got grief because he had 6 months, 30 games, a free agent market and a transfer window and he was still absolutely clueless playing his dinosaur tactics. Bowyer has had zilch which is why he's not getting grief off me.

 

Agree. The one thing that comes across is that when you need a battler, true mental application, Payne has room for improvement.

 

Anderson does nothing, badly. Payne is poor at the moment, but still offers ten times more than Anderson.

I think good sides have to have a balance of lads who can play and others who can do the dirty stuff, battlers if you like, but I take creativity above over a kicker any day of the week, unfortunately we have got ourselves into a situation where fans are happy to get a result by any means, and yes that includes me at the moment sadly.

 

But Payne doesn't have to do the dirty stuff. He needs to work hard off the ball, he needs to close down, he needs body language that suggests he is interested.

He had similar faults at the early parts of the season.

Guess what, he needs to give 100%. A bare minimum of a footballer? I feel he goes missing in games when things ain't going well. That's mental application, not the dirty stuff.

Maybe that's why he has never truly progressed up the football pyramid?

Must say managers interview after the game made me chuckle. He says he got what he asked for after last weeks debarcle and we we diffuse to beat. Gary my son we were beat end of !!!!!!

 

I think Payne does work hard, but agree he hasn't put in a single good performance since January. It doesn't help Bowyer's argument, however, that Anderson looks crap. I get that he wants to play EITHER Butterfield or Payne, not both, but he'd certainly be getting a bit more slack if Anderson were actually performing well. He isn't.

 

Bowyer is a poor manager. He will prove this in time. People are so fixated with what he did at Blackpool that at the moment they think the sun shines out of his arse. He basically has a free ticket at the moment and a new contract on the way.

 

what's this based on? The only mistake I see so far is playing Anderson.
