No danger of washing off that wave, it looks like you could stay on it all day! Found it on p100 of the Scottish White Water guidebook which recommends putting in where the B885 Portree to Bracadale road crosses the river and getting off at Skeabost Bridge Hotel but judging by the lack of videos on YouTube I'm guessing that it's not regularly paddled.

In these strange times, you can always count on the soothing sounds of a babbling burn (unfortunately no sounds)

One of the better wild trout from last night about 10” on a ginked up Loch Ordie. My lad got two at once when I was rowing us back up wind and he was holding the rod and dangling the flies behind the boat, right old tussle and rigmarole to net them both

I guess the session carpers come into their own with their well thought out rigs on really tough gravel pits and stuff like that. Yrs ago they did a carp vrs match and the carpers caught nowt and the match lot caught carp on their delicate gear. They do that kind of thing more regularly now, even on TV it used to be you’d only hear about it in the Angling Times or Mail. Each to their own, any dog can have its day and there’s merit in all styles. I love pike fishing in winter fishing, static and getting the bivvy up. It’s variety, fly fishing you are constantly on the move, sometimes you just need a good old sit downCraven Cottager and Kevin1954 like this. -

Wild last night on Loch Fada. Plenty of brown trout, nothing big, though I had one that was decent come short. Got a nice rainbow though which was unexpected, pulled my arm off!

@Craven Cottager @Bantamsteve thought you might appreciate the markings on the best trout yesterday. Stunner.
