Fans Back At VP - A Plan

I'm still waiting for the latest household infection report (Pillar 4). In the 6 weeks to the end of August, it showed that estimated new infections in the UK FELL from 4200 per day to 2000 per day, completely at odds with the media narrative being drawn from the daily national UK testing figures which includes all Pillars 1-4. It seems to be Pillar 2 (community) that is saying infections are going up rapidly on the back of a lot more testing, while Pillar 1 (NHS sites) suggests a very slight fall and Pillar 4 suggests a big fall. Pillar 2 numbers are now much bigger and dominating the others but it's hard to determine a trend when number of tests is rising so rapidly and the cohort being tested is so inconsistent.

I note a slight rise in hospitalisations in the Northwest in the last couple of days. The hospitalisation figures, whilst up marginally overall on the back of this for the whole UK, seem very subdued compared to the big rise in positive cases they have been finding overall for several weeks.

 

He has no intentions in getting fans back to grounds this year until we all prove negative from a test.

This government has lost any sense of credibility or control over COVID. Its a shambles. Further, mass restrictions to society at large are completely absurd and will cause more harm than they prevent.

 

Could apply that sentiment to virtually any other country in the world.

 

Maybe he should just put a lockdown on 18 - 30 year old's seeing as it's those causing the problems

I have agreed with you all along mate, hence my family and I deciding not to renew our season tickets. I genuinely hope I am wrong, but cannot see fans being allowed in until early spring

They dropped the hint today that they want the testing...I keep on saying that to be allowed in you will have to be tested before. No test then no go!

Will be fun sorting out tickets for the non-league finals day, even if corporate/sponsors aren't included in the 1000 that would be 250 tickets per club. If Notts County get to the final I'd hate to be the person arranging how they allocate the tickets.
