That was the recommendation at the time but at that point you could meat up with 30 people outside, now six, Group sizes have dropped since then so those % could change too

Difference is that grounds will manage and enforce social distancing.

Really? I just can not see it being enforced. They can not enforce no smoking in the toilets so what gives you the confidence that they will enforce social distancing when coming and going.

The social bubbling groups has already not worked as people have posted about all being sat together even though spread over numerous addresses, and that should be the easiest part as they have the names and addresses

But doesn't the bubble thing allow 6 households to sit together?

If the ‘posh at play’ can beat the pheasants and blast them away, then I am sure football can cope with making arrangements in a static setting, with clearly marked areas for supporters to occupy. https://markavery.info/2020/09/10/social-distancing-and-shooting/

I'm becoming very confused with the Covd 19 rules! But doesn't a support bubble only relate to people from 2 separate households meeting together?

Having said that, 4 of our group from 4 different addresses are now sitting together in the MR stand. Two others who are part of the same F&F group who usually sit in the Sunwin are still in the Sunwin!

Germany us one of the numerous Western European countries where Covid case mortality has plummeted recently and it's currently running around only 0.4%. (That's just on tested cases, it would be lower with missed cases.) I see no reason why they should not push on with crowd experiments while mortality rates are only in flu territory

Just for good measure admissions to German hospitals have halved in the last 3 weeks (Click on 14.3). After all those bad headlines a few weeks ago, Spain's hospital admissions nearly halved in the last reported week and are back around summer lows. ( Click on 32.3)

I thought we had left the EU, to avoid their rules and to regain our sovereignty. What they want to do is really their business. We have our own Government who are managing the situation. The NHS Serco Test and Track system is a world leader! We should be looking to setting our own rules and agenda rather than being dictated to by these EU countries.

Rules and Law. The Government passed laws, internationally recognised. Last night they passed fresh laws to disregard them. So if the Government can disregard rules, with the Durham/Barnard Castle puppet master pulling the strings, then why should anyone in the country be bound by this lot! It is the ‘Will of the People’, that football should return. None of this management by a distant unaccountable group of people who don’t even speak the same way as the rest of us.

Our local authority would probably block it here, but then turn a blind eye to the zero social distancing within Broadway, the lack of mask wearers in the district and just allow Mother Hubbards to sell fish and chips at 45p causing all and sundry to mass outside for a full day.

Should move games to Odsal, you can have 10k in there and it still look empty and be stood more than 2m from anyone.

Lets be honest about this 1000 pilot. We don't need nannying by the council or the government. 1000 in a stadium that holds 25000 usually is fine, infact you could probably accompany them in 1 stand fairly safely.

It would be no worse than a trip to the supermarket. It is outside. It is at the risk of the people who are willing to attend, people aren't being force it is people who would want to go on their own free will and suffer any concequences that follow.

Load of bollocks. If the weekend sees weather like this, you'll see 1000 people flock to lister Park for example. The council won't be needing to issue approval for that but we'd get turned down for 1k in a 25k arena. Laughable.

We are now down to 11th place from 2nd in terms of infection per 100,000. Our infections have increased, just not as much as everywhere else. Sunderland for example in the last 7 days has gone from 14.8 to 112.5 and we've gone from 73.3 to 90.5.

The question is though, we were locked down at something like 55 cases per 100,000 (from memory) but now LOADS of places in the country are above that, but don't have the local lockdown rules in place like we do in Bradford. Why for example, is Sunderland not under local lockdown on those figures?

Is Bradford still under some kind of local lockdown? I thought it had been relaxed in the Bradford area. Or does that only apply to certain areas?

Gyms and soft play areas were allowed to reopen the other week but I'm not sure whether the restriction on mingling inside households has been lifted yet.
