Said before, Bowyer now under a different kind of pressure. He'll be expected to play Doyle and see him keep up his scoring run. Next few games suddenly have a whole new slant on them.

 

I have a few but nothing new just the squad training as usual but including Doyle.
Whilst I was there most of the stuff a was attack based crossing and one touch stuff, then a practice game as I left.

 

Do the same as AO'C got after last years performances. Nothing special and let them do the talking on the pitch

 

When Donaldson is fit..

It will revert back to Vaughan and Donaldson with Doyle on the bench.

Absolutely pointless bringing him back into our team with a midfield who create nothing.

 

I'd quite happily see him clear his draws on Monday. Had enough now.

 

Doyle going back to Swindon and us getting a fee for him is good business IMO.

He has signed for Swindon because of his relationship with their manager. And as just about a month ago they were saying they had no chance with his wages I bet we are subsidising them

 

Ironic to read how many pro McCartan posts there are on this thread. It’s great he’s getting some support ahead of his return, just wonder how many of those commenting have slated him as a waste of money in the past?

As for Doyle’s departure, I’m gutted this hasn’t worked out with him as was chuffed with his signing when Wyke left. That said, sounds as though this move is best for all parties. Just worried we’re only one injury/suspension away from a very weak front line on a squad that isn’t stinking of goals just yet.

 

He has gone might as well move on now. However, I hope replacement striker in next week, and at least two good midfielders. If they don’t arrive, I will assume we are content with what we have. My own view is that would not be a risk worth taking.

 

It is only passing interest that Doyle scored, he is no longer a striker for us. I am more than happy with our top pair. Plus you never know we might get a PL young striker to help out.

 

Bowyer said Swindon rang and they were happy to let him go, its clear Bowyer wasn't that bothered about him going. That free up of salary space will be used better elsewhere and give us way better value for money than Doyle ever did.

 

All the names to pick and McBurnie gets thrown in there. He'd be lucky to get in our team now eh?

 

Doyle being made the scapegoat for last season is laughable, who would you have played up top instead of Doyle.
Youre 10 men comment could be used against any of the other players in last seasons squad, and how exactly do you know he didnt want to play for Bradford City.
You don't care how many goals he scores for one of our opponents who are also going for promotion, I hope its not the goals Doyle scores for Swindon that determines who gets a play off spot.

I understand for Bowyer to bring in his own players we had to get rid of the high earners but to hear on Radio Leeds we're paying a % of his wages (large or small) whilst there is looking a bad piece of business at the present monent.

 

We'd be absolutely nuts to say no to the leagues most prolific front man for the sake of a couple of grand.
