Well he picked the team, The formation and the tactics so somebody did,

 

Well I have come to the conclusion that these players are unable to follow instructions, there isn’t one football brain between them, maybe Caddis. They don’t play as a team, it’s like watching school kids at times!

 

That was because the manager picked the slowest midfield players who allowed them to run through us because we could not keep up, Perhaps if we had attacked them more that would not happen as the best form of defence is attack but ultimately poor team selection and playing only one up front in a must win game cost us the defeat

 

Yes maybe, but you have to have a really good attacking team to be able to do that. Now what have we been short of this season? Goals! I will give you we are slow, but I haven’t noticed that he is leaving pacy midfielders on the bench! So our strikers find it difficult to score, we have the slowest midfield I have seen for a long time, and a powder puff defence.

 

Like I say... understand people have different opinions. But I disagree.
As soon as we attacked.... you saw the aftermath.... the flood gates opened. You can blame that on imobile players in the middle.... but say you were to go for an attacking team... who would you chose as a starting 11. And keep in mind that your back four are terrible, so you have to cover them some how.

 

They are not his players. A squad has been assembled way before Bowyer arrived that has no pace, hardly any physical presence, is unbelievably easy to play against and has no heart whatsoever! Frankly once Hopkin left it was almost irrelevant who came in as far as this season goes because this squad is 100% relegation fodder and absolutely no coach or manager was going to change that.
We need to think about next season now as somebody has one hell of a job to do. As to whether that man is Gary Bowyer, that remains to be seen. I wouldn't have an issue with that as he in no way at all is responsible for the shitshow we witnessed today. Whilst we all have opinions and will no doubt question some of his decisions, he is simply trying to do the best with the crap he has been left with and like Hopkin before him, unfortunately has no magic wand.
Whoever our next permanent appointment is (be it Bowyer or someone else) needs to be given the time and backing to build us a team again with the short term objective of stopping this rapid nosedive that at current pace sees us heading out of the league! We can't continue with a revolving managerial door......

 

The problem, as we all must surely know, is that this squad of 'players' is utterly cr*p, has no bottle, no spirit or heart and doesn't give a flying feck. End of. Good night.

PS Pep couldn't get this lot through the first round of the 'Local Pub Sunday Morning Cup'. They are useless and just don't care.

 

Every time we went forward they broke and scored or nearly did.

We get you don’t like bowyer but I hope he gets a 2 year deal and I am willing to bet you if he gets a competitive budget next season we will be in the top 10

 

I sat behind the dugouts yesterday and for the first half and maybe the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half Bowyer was busy shouting instructions, organising the team and directing them. After that he did nothing, just stood in quiet conversation with Todd. It was like he’d given up. Id love to know what the conversation was about, probably how they could get out of the job while saving the most face.

 

We don't have any pace in the squad do we?

 

We have a few players who are more mobile in the squad just not in the actual team picked along with some real duffers that played when we have better,

 

That is because of a combination of a poor team picked that is slow and ponderous at times, As for Bowyer if he keeps his job which would be a mistake IMO . like you I hope he turns us round and brings us back up, As for betting it is not something I do but would have won one already as someone on here bet me we would not be relegated just after xmas, I forecast we would and refused his bet because like with your offer it is something I do not do

 

So Trevor. Name them, these fast midfielders that we have.

 

Thankfully I had accepted the fact we would be relegated a few weeks ago so yesterday didn’t make me feel any worse in that sense, however what a witnessed yesterday was totally unacceptable. Players earning thousands a week who couldn’t be arsed in the slightest to try and stave off the inevitable. I can remember plenty of shit teams over the years but can’t remember many that didn’t give at least a feck !

It’s scandalous, it really is !!

 

Who does he play with pace that he left out?

Wright is slow. Butterfield is slow.

 

Who has pace in the squad?

 

Scannell. . . . . just wait two weeks.

 

The only lad that has pace is Omari, but he is completely unpredictable. It is no good blaming Bowyer, he cannot magically summon up fast midfielders. I don’t know of any player that has been left out that we could play. For me Butterfield would be the first name on the team sheet, he has space awareness on the football field, he has a football brain, as does Caddis. That is it.

 

Chickson has pace but is a woeful defender but could be used more forward out wide to give some options we currently do not have in the team,
Connor Wood has good mobility and can play full back or as a wide midfield player and has done little wrong when played
Reece Staunton could be promoted to the first team as he has natural pace for a defender, He could be no worse
Jordan Gibson is quite quick and after playing well has been ignored and let go on loan
Luca Colville has scored goals and brings an attacking style to the team and is a winger we claim we do not have.
Elliot Goldthorp is a natural quick and aggressive player much like O'Brien and could step up
Omari Patrick has huge pace and although not the best player in the world could do a job

Am not saying to play all these at once but they do offer an alternative in some areas to increase the mobility and give us much needed pace, Some will be used anyway next year if we are skint along with others from the youth team who are doing well
