Might not be bothered he’s gone but he was somewhat our Marquee signing only 3 months ago and now he’s out of the door?
Baffling in my opinion. What a waste of money. Not a great strike rate so far is it?

Also we seem to like giving people contracts and then backing out the best way we can down the line. McCall, Rowe etc.
Hardly inspiring. Scratching my head on this one. We don’t do things by half at this club.
Is Sparks too young for this role and just making decisions off of the cuff all the time?

It’s obvious there was a deal in place and the club didn’t want to risk him getting injured. Stick him in the squad and don’t play him then announce he’s leaving. Had they not done that there’d have been a bigger storm about his absence, before the game than afterwards.

There’s no getting away that it’s a strange one, but he did contribute to saving us from relegation, job done. Was Rowe good enough to go up a level, nah not for me. Looks bad on the club but correct decision in the end.

In order to attract decent strikers to the club, we have to make a couple of marquee midfield signings. That’s where the game is won and lost in most leagues, especially league 2. Players seeing that will be more persuaded to join knowing they’ll get chances.

We were never gonna sign the leading scorer in league 2. He can go upfront with Keiffer Moore in the nearly squad.

Which goes back to due diligence again, which despite all the talk of it, clearly wasn't done. The fault lies firmly with the club on this one.

You do not build a team around a guy who spent nearly all his career non league..He simply wasn't good enough.

Novak is a much, much better player than Rowe. His CV confirms as much. I hope he stays next year, Novak.

Let’s get decent midfielders in and even someone like Guthrie would become a hit. We haven’t dominated midfield for what seems like an age. It’s a bit like feed the goat and he will score scenario. We can’t expect strikers to do it all on their own, which to his credit Cook has been doing.

Novak is a crock unfortunately, good player but another one we haven't been able to call on enough this year. would be happy to release and find someone else for the money he will be on.

Got to disagree if you've got a player who can stick the ball away given chances you build a solid defence and play to his strengths at this level. He was good enough in the right team the gap between the national league and league 2 isn't that big really. He's not a workhorse or even a hard worker but in my opinion at least has much more quality than some are giving him credit for.

That's called laying down a marker and pointing out to the opposition he won't take sh!t, it worked for Big Bobby, and he wasn't as big as Rowe.

That is a nonsense mate, you only have to go back to the Tranmere game, losing 1 - 0 after 45 minutes and they did not make a change until 62 minutes (Clarke was replaced as a precaution) at half time were told, then proceed to do nothing until the 91 minute when they brought the Don on, that for me makes a nonsense of his comment Rowe was in our plans going forward, what had we to lose by throwing an extra forward on and go for it, maybe Mark actually believed his post match interview, trouble is the vast amount of Bradford City fans didn't (obviously not all), do you agree we dominated and created chances, and playing as we did we'll win more game than we lose.

I remember watching that 4-5 against West Ham when Deano scored a plenty, but in between, looked to see where the match officials were, and then kicked, pinched, slapped and roughed up any West Ham player who was passing him after the breakdown of a move. Bet players stood in the tunnel before a game and then looked over at Deano thought to themselves, oh shit! That for 90 minutes.

Interesting comments from Danny in todays T&A, quite unusual to hear this level of public honesty and self-criticism about performance. Hope he is back to his best on Saturday and can rate himself 10/10, whether starts or comes on later.

If for some reason Cooke misses a game this season i would play Rowe in that postion as a free role and Cook up top.

    OK - it's Pedant's Corner time.
I know I'll get pelters for this, and probably rightly so, but it's doing my nut in because I so often see the word 'disinterested' used incorrectly.

'Disinterested' means being impartial or having no skin in the game.

'Uninterested' means you couldn't care less.

Sorry @TallinnBantam@TallinnBantam . I know it's a football forum not a book group and many others have committed this heinous crime before you. I've tried to let it go, but I finally cracked.
    Feel free to pity me.

He really is an composed finisher how often have we seen last minute chances fly over or wide. Yes he has a powerful shot but he can be very accurate as well you can see why he has scored as many as he has. He is good on the ball as well

Rowe is great but Cook has been better, lovely conundrum to have. Were it not for Cook you'd start Rowe every game because you can allow for a mercurial talent to not do much else and the rest of the team make up for it, but if you have another player who can score just as prolificaly but also offer a bit more in the build up they have earnerd their place in the team

The only thing I'm bemused by is the fact a few supporters have a go at Danny Rowe's way of playing the game.
I don't want him to change anything in his style of play he's very much a potential match winner.
A fine example was yesterday's final cross into the box which he conjured up from nothing,it was pinpoint and should have been put away at the back post.
He might not be to everyone's taste but personally I would rather have him playing for us than than the opposition even in a cameo role.
