As much as I think Donaldson has been an asset for us despite what some people say he won’t be here next season both because of his age and the money he is probably on. It would be good if he stayed and passed his experience on to the youngster if his inclined

I am certain that is still the plan but he had one window and it doesnt mean mistakes wont be made - these are humans not robots so complexities will always arise. Danny was always an interesting one, both in his own character and the fact that he obviously on Stuarts list and decision was made whilst T&S were still only stand in coaches

Let’s get decent midfielders in and even someone like Guthrie would become a hit. We haven’t dominated midfield for what seems like an age. It’s a bit like feed the goat and he will score scenario. We can’t expect strikers to do it all on their own, which to his credit Cook has been doing.

Yep, for all the whining about "not throwing another striker on" the other night, all that would have meant is we'd have had two players up top not getting any service.

Novak is a crock unfortunately, good player but another one we haven't been able to call on enough this year. would be happy to release and find someone else for the money he will be on.

When fit Novak is pretty good at this level. But often, he's obviously injured. We can't rely on a striker who might only give you 25+ games a season in Lg 2, no matter how good he is. Shame, because he's a good lad is Noves. But emotion shouldn't come into it.

Absolutely, he surprised me in all honesty and I would be happy to have him if he could stay fit, but for me he's missed too much to be someone we can rely on

We might have got lucky like Tranmere did with the deflected shot.

Got to disagree if you've got a player who can stick the ball away given chances you build a solid defence and play to his strengths at this level. He was good enough in the right team the gap between the national league and league 2 isn't that big really. He's not a workhorse or even a hard worker but in my opinion at least has much more quality than some are giving him credit for.

Got to have more to your game than just a spectacular shot now and then. Stats don't lie, he's spent just over a season in the football league at the age of 32 and has now dropped back out.

Hear what your saying and its just opinions but I think he had more than that. Motivating him to do it may have been more difficult or even nigh on impossible I'm sure most people have worked with someone who has the ability to be brilliant but it just can't be coaxed out of them.

In retrospect there was obviously something amiss for a while with Rowe, our management duo and some of the squad. I suspect he has been destined to leave for at least two weeks and just waiting for the deal with Chesterfield to go through, staying on the bench just in case our other choices got knocks.

Interesting to see how tomorrow's game pans out, without Rowe "sulking" in the background, Cooke back, and a possible pairing of Cook and Novak at some point this season (well at least for ten minutes).

Being a good player isn't just physical ability. You can have all the attributes going but without application they mean nothing. Best move for all.concerned, he was never the guy to get us promoted.

Why would Rowe be sulking he will be starting for Chesterfield at Wrexham.
