Covid & Covid Passports - Rules & Logistics for City matches?

8 off now, It's sadly inevitable that the league campaign is about to be suspended. You are advised not to mingle in your house with fully vaccinated family over Xmas but can attend a football game with thousands of others either fully vaccinated or tested negative.

so reading that the players out don’t have to be Covid based. Could have a couple suspensions, few niggling long term things and a few Covid and hit the magic 13 available.

I would be surprised if we play again before the new year.

There’s also talk of a 2 week “circuit-breaker” lockdown post-Christmas so we’re probably looking at January 15th for our next game.

Then you’re probably looking at reduced capacities at best if not behind closed doors.

Cant see any games at all on Boxing Day if it’s bad now then what’s it gonna be like a week later with folk out for Xmas parties etc

 

Probably best football going on a winter break imo, to many cancellations going on. As for Covid passports any impact they’ll have will be minimal and is just a gesture by the government to be looking active.

 

If we cancelled Saturday due to covid tests then surely them players will still be isolating so how come Boxing Day isn't off yet?

 

Cook and Vernam are potentially in contention to return so maybe that'll bring us back over the threshold? Also, no fixtures in top 5 divisions have been called off yet so maybe there's some sort of embargo in place on announcing stuff?

 

Good point, well made. It's inside the 10 day isolation so even with Cook & Vernham back, surely the rest of the squad are isolating ? If we had enough cases on Saturday to force a cancellation, then surely more will follow as they infect each other.

Not only are we a basket case club with an absent owner who rejects offers to buy, we are now a set of infected covid carriers.

 

I don’t believe we had any Covid cases otherwise they’d have told us which players. It was bullshit to get the game called off because we’re currently under strength. It’s borderline cheating
