It’s a daft concept that will hopefully never materialise.

Looks like they are still planning to introduce them end of the month for large scale indoor venues. Now will that include stadiums due to the concourses and a lot of stands having three enclosed sides?

I think the minister today praised Premier League clubs who had begun this on voluntary basis. So I assume, yes?

You were supposed to have one to attend the England game today.

At no point was anyone checked.

The tube trains where it is mandatory to wear masks was less than 50% compliant front what I saw.

The government can try push this out all they want but people simply don't care and no one will take any notice.

Suppose it all depends if them make it a recommendation or a legal requirement. If it is the second one I can not imagine clubs ignoring it

Didn't see one fan wearing a mask in the main stand at the Lincoln or Walsall games.

is it that mask wearers are staying away after the first few games, as they are the minority?

or is it just that people aren’t bothered now wearing them is no longer a legal requirement? As Edin Nowhere says, most have just had enough of it all now?

I didn't go to the first few games as I had the virus but expected to see a few more masks on Saturday….you still usually see the odd few about when you are out and about outside of football stadiums.

So October 1st is the date being knocked about, so first game would be against Rochdale. Wonder what attendance will be

It's completely pointless, no one in primary or secondary school will be vaccinated yet no doubt will attend the game. Thats a good section of our crowd that all week will have mixed with hundreds of other unvaccinated children for the whole week prior. Then suddenly the issue is a few adults who have chosen not to get vaccinated.

I'm double vaccinated, I could show my "Covid Passport" but will that make people safer? I can still catch the virus, and because I have a vaccine passport I can attend the game even if I have covid because if I look on the app my "Covid Passport" can be saved as a PDF to be used for the next 30+ days.

Doesnt the passport printed version just have the QR code on so that gets scanned and it would check your updated record?

The updated record that will show I have been vaccinated which will let me into the "event" even if I have had a positive LFT done that because it was positive I didn't bother to register or follow up with a PCR test.

That's the reality of the situation. Unless everyone was forced to test and register a result twice a week it is completely pointless, because most people don't bother testing at all but due to having two jabs will be free to attend these events when they could just as easy catch and pass covid as anyone else.

so you are suggesting there are City fans who would purposely go to VP whilst knowing they are positive?

I'm saying people will be going to City and will be waved in because they have a covid passport regardless of if they actually have the virus. I haven't tested before I went to the game on Saturday, and I guess several thousands of others didn't bother too. I went down to Wembley on Sunday too and didn't test, because I have a covid passport as I am double jabbed. And there is the total flaw in the system, not to mention thousands of people mixing on the tube, bars, trains, buses, etc prior to entering the ground with people who because they weren't going to the game didn't need a covid passport. I presume we are taking it that covid does not pass whilst were are on our way to and from the stadium and that no one could possibly catch it there.

The idea of vaccine passports is nonsensical and dangerous. They don't keep people safer and are entirely designed to coerce people into being vaccinated. Simple as that.

Been to my first I door music gig post covid this evening.

It needed proof of vaccination or a negative test.

I didn't feel 1% safer while I was in there. I basically knew that someone out of the 800 attendees would be carrying the virus regardless of the precautions.

Clubs in the EFL are going to take a reet hit, after 18 months of no money coming through the turnstiles and most reliant on owners money keeping them afloat and now this i can honestly see some going to the wall, this is absolutely Irresponsible !

Does anyone actually trust either of the main parties to do what's right for the country.

As for the Covid passports I do wonder how it will effect attendances at all grounds. Even many of those vaccinated are against the idea and I am sure we will see many decline to enter stadiums if they are needed.

Also wonder how many like myself decided to pay by DD so if needed they can cancel should the passports be approved.

    .

No, I don’t trust either party, for good reason.

COVID vaccinations are a personal choice and should not be a condition of being able to have a social life. I won’t frequent any establishment that requires me to show my medical records in order to be able to gain entry.

I opted for DD for exactly those reasons.

I'm not opposed to anything regarding covid passports per se but my decision was made before I'd re entered VP again and thought if it ever became too restrictive and a bit of a chore I'd cancel the DD and stop going.

I should add though that added into my thought process was the all the debate surrounding the pre season friendlies with strict admission times, one way entry and exits and the compulsory wearing of masks.
