Covid & Covid Passports - Rules & Logistics for City matches?

Unfortunately if Bradford City are required to follow this scheme then yes if you have tested negative it won't matter you won't be allowed in. If you are double jabbed you can go regardless of if you are carrying the virus. It is completely pointless. Yet some people will use this scheme to think they are safe, invincible even just because they are double jabbed.

 

It actually surprised me aswell.

 

It is totally pointless and I think Zahawi is as embarrassed as everyone else when he announced it, still no clarity as far as I know re City's status on this....

 

Its certainly looking that way, the goverment are leaving it far to late (again) and i presume leaving it to the clubs discretion, iff that is the case thats p*** poor IMO probably causing chaos

Interesting I actually didn't think city was one of the clubs where some players had refused.

Not sure I was told there was quite a number of players not willing to be vaccinated but wasn't told every club was the same

 

The thing is, they are just kids in their teens and twenties, we were all invincible at that age.....

 

Also as they are kids, younger end, the risk to them from Covid is a lot lower

 

And said footballers probably replicating general society with some saying yes, others no.

 

Like most I've had a vaccine for versus illnesses from the day that we was born. Name it we've probably had a shot in the arm for it.

Some places demand a covid passport/qr code as proof.

Why stop there?

Let's have proof FOR EVERY SHOT WE'VE EVER HAD in our lifetime and show these arse holes how stupid it is and show proof of every single one.

Effectively we do. My daughter is a nurse and has to prove annually that her all vaccines are up to date. Strangely this currently doesnt include Covid.

 

Yes that's the perception. Current estimates are that 1-2% of young folk (inc. children) are suffering from long COVID following infection. Obviously less than older folk but still very worrying especially as we don't know how long COVID will act long term (lifelong?).

About a 1000 people a day still getting long COVID.

It's all I've personally worried about for myself and my partner since we knew about it. If I couldn't exercise / do the physical hobbies I love I'd be devastated.

 

Where is your daughter a nurse.My wife is an NHS frontline nurse and has never had to prove this.

 

It doesn't seem right to me that a 20 year old unvaccinated supporter will be refused entry to a stadium where a twenty year old unvaccinated footballer is allowed to play.

 

I suspect the player will have a very recent negative test on record somewhere to enable him to play whereas the supporter will not-though a PCR test can be registered on the NHS app but what if they don't have the app downloaded?

 

when the passport thing starts it will just be vaccination that count and not your test status

 

Went to a cinema this evening and according to their website I had to show my vaccine status.

I was never asked.

Realistically at a football match at any match in the country it will not happen. The stewards won't care... At 10min to 3 when thousands want in and scuffles start the stewards will not bother...

After all it's our personal data... We shouldn't be sharing anything.

 

I think the difference is it isn’t currently a legal requirement. If they do make it so then I think clubs will check as they will be scared not to

 

Realistically I don't think it happen it's not practical and far to time consuming. Especially when most turn up 10 minutes before kick, half cut and demanding to be let it.
