Would that mean we get Bowyer back though, if we start again?

I'm fine with Liverpool winning the PL. Much happier with that than Man City.
But I'd take it to stop Leeds going up.

:joy: this couldn't happen. Imagine the fuss working out who was over 70, what about 69 and those who don't look their age. The turnstiles would be bedlam with some aged individuals producing false ID. :eyes:
It would be a whole ban rather than this crazy idea :joy::mask::joy:

Selfishly speaking (and why shouldn't we be selfish, it's the apocalypse ffs) then timing the 2 week lock down to start a week tomorrow would suit me beautifully with an already scheduled 2 week break from work commencing after. A month off? Yes please.

Here you go. As a committed professional you can run ‘distance’ learning. https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/use-group-facetime/ Set this up and you can teach the children as per usual. I am sure you would not wish them to be disadvantaged. Green option, as Carbon Neutral and no commute time. Allow you more time to prepare lessons and assist those kids on a 1 to 1 who could benefit from additional input.

The scientist the government are speaking to and taking advice from are saying outdoor activities like football matches are less risk than indoor, which is common sense if you think about it. The virus cannot exist out of the body for very long, so provided ppl wash their hands or use gel, and DO NOT cough and sneeze into the open air, it should be ok.

Exactly Fordy. Leon Wobschall in today's Yorkshire Post carries a report from finance expert Keiran Maguire forecasting Armageddon for L1&L2 clubs.

All the best on that Dave. We're not there yet - Belle, bless her a lovely girl and the only one who bothers to give me a cuddle when she see's me, is coping on the one, but it is functioning lower than is normal for her age, so it's an obvious worry

This discussion is 10 times better than talking about the Bantams :p

I've just heard a rumour that schools are going to close 2 weeks before Easter and open again on Good Friday for a re-enactment of the crucifixion, before closing again for ever.
Oh no, sorry, I just made that up

Just switched over to see end of PSG v Dortmund match with no fans able to attend. Its just not right for matches as big as this.

I would rather see games postponed than the farce of no fans. Afterall, football is a spectator sport, without fans, it seems pointless

See this makes no sense to me.

Let's think about it. It's the over 60's/70's the @Bronco@Bronco of the world that are at the biggest risk?

A lot of kids are looked after by their grandparents!

    Kids spread gems!

No one knows if children are carriers of this virus but yeah let's stop school and but the over 60/70's at more risk while parents are at work.

    Lets see what happens.

If you ban gathering at football matches, then I suppose all sport where there are crowds need to be banned.
Then the cinema, going to the supermarket. Has the person who used the trolley or basket before you got Corona Virus? Filling the car with petrol, did you use gloves. Have you used public transport and pressed the bell, or had to hold on to a grip as it was standing room only on the train or bus. The change you got from buying a newspaper or a mars bar is it infected.

Anyone who expects the government to prevent it below what it currently is can they explain how please? Radiation suits for all?

people say it is panicking but if you look at Italy now where they are further into it people have now been told to stay at home unless absolutely necessary so those that ‘panicked’ and stocked up when there was less risk don’t have to go out as much during a riskier period.

Ireland has just announced closure of schools and child care from tomorrow, along with no indoor events over 100 people and outdoor events over 500. (Ireland's infection density is about the same as the UK's.)

I understand that it will take time, but at least we have the World trying to find one. Of course no point in giving the vaccine to ppl who have already have the virus. However, once you have had and if this virus behaves like others you will be immune from this strain. As you get older your immune system is not as robust.
