    And that's the key thing. 4-3-3 is a very effective formation providing you have the players to play it. Bowyer is clearly bringing in players to fit with his brand of football.

    If it brings us success then I personally have no problem with it at all.

    Absolutely. That is what I was trying to say in a "tongue in cheek" type manner. As I said, I was shouted down for saying that we've not got any money.
    Totally applaud the Scannell sale if true. Underachieving and overpaid player for us. Money from his sale will be gladly welcome, plus get a few others in now his inflated salary is off the wage bill.
    Good business all round!

    Yep. Any lingering 'sadness' at losing him is really about pining for the player we thought we were getting, but never actually saw. His stats are terrible, but beyond that he looks to have lost his pace and can't beat a man. His crossing isn't up to much either - Woods puts across many more and far more dangerous crosses even when he's playing left back. even Patrick has looked no worse when he's played on the right. And that's a damning indictment.

    On the pace thing, it MIGHT be just down to working back to fitness. But he broke his back last season and spent a long time out. That sort of injury and that long out, at his age, is going to take a toll.

    Even if he becomes a star at Blackpool, we aren't really losing anything. Getting his wage off the books will be material for the business we can do. We can bring in at least 2, maybe even 3. And the team needs strengthening. How we do it will be key. As I say, Pritchard doesn't excite me, he isn't the quickest and I'd have to think there are better loan options out there. But if he joins we'll have to see how he does.
