I’m not claiming to know which is correct, just pointing out what wiki says as you were saying wiki said he was a midfielder which it doesn’t.

To be honest is there a difference these days between left midfield and left wing. Both would be part of 442

 

Granted he’s not the fastest, but who in the side has more? I can’t point out a single one.

 

Again, people weren’t saying this after we lost to Forest Green - whichever way you dress it up.

 

Vaughan for a start. Donaldson probably as quick but struggling after that. We've looked devoid of pace already this season in midfield and Scannell added to that.

 

Only thing is we won't be playing 442 which with the striker's we have where does the service come from?

 

I think you'll find they were. The ones so blind weren't, but they never see whats in front of their eyes, desperately waiting for him to show any sign of his championship football days. Which he didn't. Turned out to be an expensive flop for us.

 

Has to be an improvement, as didn't Bowyer say he was having to nurse scannell back to full fitness and ismail is still not started for us.
At least Pritchard is likely to be ready to go and not just for the odd game or two.

That is the nature of the transfer market. Clubs won't let players go if they don't have a replacement lined up. Bowyer has explained this before. Clubs can have everything agreed but the deal hangs on another player coming in / leaving. Once that happens it sets off a chain reaction. The world of transfers can be very complex.

 

I would agree to disagree on that. I think that Scannell is marginally quicker than both. I agree we are devoid of pace with or without him, but the proposed/suggested replacement only makes this situation worse. I remain disappointed in it.
