Don't be disappointed, its the best move for all concerned. We get rid of arguably our highest paid played who contributed little on game day, Scannell gets a move out of the god forsaken khazi league, we now get the chance to bring a player in who will actively contribute on far less wages than Scannell. Everyones a winner.

 

The majority of fans I saw on here and on Twitter were calling for Bowyer to play 4-4-2 as I previously said, with Scannell on the right. I don’t necessarily disagree he’s been slightly disappointing given his price tag and suggested wage, but that’s a different argument.

 

Look at the teams the new guy has played for. You have to admit it is a fantastic pedigree. Tottenham, Swindon, Brentford, Norwich and Huddersfield.

The player has shown little evidence of contributing to any success Blackpool have had. I would much rather take a punt on a young, pacy winger with something to prove!

What evidence is there that Scannell has contributed to the extremely limited success we have had since he has been here?

 

James Vaughan does too, but they are past the prime and we can’t expect the same level of quality, otherwise, they wouldn’t be here, and wouldn’t have been at all in the first place.

 

Slightly disappointing is one hell of an understatement. As for 4-4-2 its one of those comfort blankets that the weak cling to when results are not forthcoming. I don't mind it, but there again i don't mind any formation that makes the most of your assets.

 

Let's wait and see if he comes here and where Bowyer plays him.

 

And that's the key thing. 4-3-3 is a very effective formation providing you have the players to play it. Bowyer is clearly bringing in players to fit with his brand of football.

If it brings us success then I personally have no problem with it at all.

I haven't mentioned a player incoming. We have no idea as it stands that Pritchard is signing. I do agree with your last sentence, our better loan signings have come from the higher divisions. Surely there's some young potential loans in the top two divisions that want to get plenty of game time at a lower level.

There isn’t. But he didn’t get enough opportunity to do so. No ones fault, he just didn’t. However, I believe the proposed swap is a downgrade. Happy to be proved wrong, but we shall see.
