Confirmed: Scannell to Blackpool

Blackpool fan here. Couple of things really, First of all Grayson has pretty much got his week in week out starters sorted I'd say, except probably for a midfield playmaker. What he has said is that he's looking for 'competition' in certain positions and I'd think Scannell falls into that category, ie he sees him as a squad player rather than an automatic starter. If he plays on the left (wing or midfield seems to be a topic of debate ) we've got Sullay Kaikai who's sure to be a starter at left mid or wing, he's yet to figure out his best formation yet I think. On Pritchard I'd hope he does better for you than us. I think he was a Bowyer signing and Grayson's come in and looks to want to offload a few of them as he get's his own players in. James Devitt got signed in the summer by McPhillips and didn't get to play a single game for us before being loaned out by Grayson. While not many went into Bloomfield Rd before that last few games of last season from what I've seen Pritchard didn't really impressed many fans or manage to hold down a start this season so it may be we're swapping one squad player for another, though as I say I never wish any player to fail after they move on (unless they go to preston of course).

I don't think the Scannel to Blackpool thread was ever moved was it? Given there was a photo of him posing at the ground with a Blackpool shirt, it was more than just a rumour and was deserving of it's own thread.

 

He is for what he does

 

Presume we have all seen this photo of Scannell at Bloomfield Road "hanging out" a Tangerines shirt ? - why would he do that if he hadn't signed ?. If your in negotiations to sign for another club; do you do the "smiley the photo" with the shirt and scarf on the off chance the deal actually goes through ?

 

Why do players do that all? Oh hang on, could it be the pay cheque...

If he goes then fair enough. He’s on big money and hasn’t looked good enough to warrant the wage if it means we can’t afford further additions. As has already been said though, we have a worrying lack of pace in the team which would be good to address.

 

You should ask Karl if there's a mod vacancy available. You'll have a field day telling posters where they should be posting certain threads and explaining the reasons for it.

You could even start posting in green just so everyone knows how important you are.

 

It's weird it hasn't gone through yet when it's on the eve of a game.

I suppose he'll be unavailable due to "illness" tomorrow rather than just coming out and saying he's off!
