Good. I want a lean, mean, fat reducing league two grilling machine of a team next season. I've seen enough pansy arsed, weak performances to least a few good years after last season.

 

His description of the facilities down at Woodhouse Grove do make them sound impressive, mind you he doesn't know he has to share his lunch with the kids from school yet!

Something tells me we have had a small cash injection of late from an unknown source.
The signings don't add up to a club on a shoestring.
Could be well wide of the mark,but still players come in and no one leaves.
Strange goings on financially.

 

And we're still picking up the pieces. The charlatans actions will unfortunately have long lasting effects and will take longer than a few months to fix.

 

I thought Ben Nicholson who was appointed last August was the lead performance and fitness coach. Has he also left?
Maik Taylor didn't improve our goalkeepers during his time at Valley Parade.

 

Well buy him out then mega bucks.

 

Would prefer a local City supporting chairman but
What would happen if MrRupp left tomorrow
Who would jump in and fill his shoes
Mr Rupp is allegedly bank rolling the club like him or not
he is the only person standing between us and very serious financial problems
Until someone is found to do the same he is our best option

I have no idea what a L2 coach earns but surely it isn’t more than about £50k a year? I can’t believe that we can’t find £100k in the budget for 2 coaches to work with Bowyer. Good quality coaches can be as valuable as a quality player over the season.

 

We also had this debate a couple of weeks ago when certain posters were playing it down and proclaiming that there's 2 weeks left until preseason so we should just wait and see.

I wonder if they still feel the same in their claret and amber shaped bubble.

 

To be fair with the players coming in this is a decision i didn’t see coming. I trust Bowyer to have things in hand but i’m surprised we aren’t employing a new assistant.

 

I agree on an assistant, but we are getting a keeper coach according to the article and we have a fitness coach.

I imagine Drury is the reason we can’t get an assistant, so imagine he’ll do it unfortunately.

 

Nah, we'll have the keepers training themselves again with the inevitable disastrous consequences but its ok as we're doing something different.

 

I'm not saying you're wrong, but in the context of what Bowyer wants from his number 2, how do we know?

If Bowyer has a similar view, I just don't buy the idea that the club wouldn't do anything about it.

 

What’s with the panic? Parky only had Steve Parkin, Nick Allenby and Lee Butler unless I’m mistaken??

A 4 man coaching team sounds about right.

 

He didn’t even have Lee Butler in our promotion season, Duke has to do it.

Nothing out of the norm here, it’s because Drury will be his assistant that people are getting worked up. I’d rather Bowyer have brought his own in, but he has control of the budget. Maybe he thought better to bring better players in than have to pay Drury off and pay for someone else. Crazy as it is maybe he even rates Drury, who knows.
