    Maik Taylor has left and joined up with Walsall to be their goalie coach.

    Currently no assistant of Bowyers choosing, no goalie coach, no fitness coach?

    With pre season two weeks away, anyone else worried by this?

    Are we not selling Bowyer short?

    Baffling and we don’t learn.

    More worried by this than the signings to be honest. No club can succeed without a proper backroom team.

    I would agree.

    We have still not replaced the others who left weeks ago so it doesn’t fill me with confidence that we will sort it out either.

    Is our budget that low?

    And we're still picking up the pieces. The charlatans actions will unfortunately have long lasting effects and will take longer than a few months to fix.

    I don't know what the reasoning is but it's just another piece of evidence to show how unprofessional we are as a club.

    We seemed to cope well in the 80s with no goalie coach just Cherry and Yorath and in the 90s with Jewell and Hutchins and again no goalie coach. Maybe Bowyer rates Drury more than people realise. Going back to the 60s 70s there were no assistant managers, Brian Clough used to fool the Hartlepool board into thinking that Peter Taylor was a physio and carried the bucket and sponge as they wouldn’t entertain an assistant.

    I thought Ben Nicholson who was appointed last August was the lead performance and fitness coach. Has he also left?
    Maik Taylor didn't improve our goalkeepers during his time at Valley Parade.

    Games moved on a fair bit since then.

    I bet there isn’t another club in league two who has a manager in place who don’t have specialist coaches with him

    You can, but I am not going as I am having to cope with the extreme weather in Greece, when the meeting is scheduled. I will send it onto the Mod who has taken up the baton! Agree that it is concerning that we only appear to have two members of the management team who are coaches and no fitness coach, although one could be appointed before July.

    sorry, two and a half weeks until first game.. first couple of days of pre-season will mainly be testing to get base-line measures for players - done by nicholson and the medical staff. still plenty of time to sort the rest out.
