Surely if he was ‘happy‘ with him, he’d have said that he has confidence in him to do the job..... but nothing was said

 

First of all, I think you're jumping to conclusions here. You asked a question and as it has already been addressed several times, I provided you with a quote that answers it. I didn't offer an opinion on Drury's credentials.

However, now that you've brought up the topic, I do actually agree with Offcomedun. The problem with your bet is that neither of us are disputing that you MAY be right. The entire point of this discussion is that we're not sure if Drury is a good/bad coach, which has already been explained to you about 10 times already.

I get what you and others are saying. I disagree with those views, but I do understand where you are coming from. I just believe, behind the scenes, that Bowyer won’t have been happy with this decision. But he’s clearly been given a budget that includes his own staff and is accepting this. Doesn’t make it right though. The club should have said the budget is £X-£100k and that money would be ringfenced for his staff

In an 'Ideal World' - Then yes. However, City have been away from that world for some time, now.

I think it's fair to say Bowyer possibly isn't happy - But not unhappy enough to walk away, as he did at Blackpool ? Which again suggests GB considers the plan 'workable'.

 

My feeling is he will not last the season and will be gone by this time next year
