Why can we not have a fair and even game without abysmal officials? Every week they are a disgrace.

 

Disgraceful how Pritchard got MOTM over Connolly. Sponsors need to get a grip.

Wood, Connolly, Cooke all major positives. Great impact from Ismail again too.

 

We sit right behind the goal and didn’t see anything wrong with the goal. Thought the ref got that one wrong.

 

Agree. Thought it hit his arm after it crossed the line. Linesman was the only official who could see it and he gave the goal, thankfully no harm done.

 

Is it too early to hope we sign him permanently?

He hasn't done anything at Wimbledon, but when he starts getting goals and assists I think he could be a real talent.

I hope we aren't warming him up for them...

 

Hes a kid compared to me, if he keeps coming on and sticking em away as he did today he and Connolly will make our attacking options down the right a nightmare for oppositions left backs.

 

I’ll watch it again but i’m pretty sure he didn’t put it in with his arm, he kind of rolls it in with his chest. I was going off on one behind the goal i was that pissed off.

 

I know it was a good goal, it may look from an angle that he might have used his arm/ hand to get the ball over the line but he didn’t, i was adamant at the time and haven’t changed my mind after seeing it again.

 

To be honest every single person who has played footy in a game can think of a time they’ve been running with the ball and it runs away from them and you are desperate to keep the ball and not lose it and over stretch. It looks stupid and reckless but it wasn’t malicious. You are just trying not to lose the ball in your head

Makes an interesting point regards this new rule to help VAR to say any handball intentional or not in a goal is a free kick, in this case had Donaldson not been charged into by NKP from behind its easy to make the case that he’s only handled it due to being taken out which leads to the point as to why it wasn’t a penalty instead.

 

I think it'd be wise to stick another body in there (pritchard?) when we play the better teams who play a 3 man midfield. But against teams as poor as carlisle I think those 2 in a 442 will be fine. Let's just hope neither get injured as the replacements aren't worth thinking about.

 

I sort of think that, but feel Bowyer would be easy prey if we switched from a 4-4-2 and lost to a decent side.

Unfortunately there are a few people waiting for him to get something, anything wrong - and even if it's the right thing to do, if we lose we inevitably 'shouldn't have changed formation'.

 

No chance. He might have only gone in one footed but both feet left the floor to make the tackle. No tolerance on these sort of tackles nowadays. Ridiculous tackle in regards to the situation and the part of the pitch the play was in. You could see it coming a mile off unfortunately BRE didn't have the same foresight.

 

The tempo needs to vastly improve. I don't know whether it's a GB tactic but so lethargic starting games at the minute. Shouldn't take us to concede to bring them to life.

 

I've gotta command the will just to turn up. I'm wavering already.

 

Lose this with Swindon next up at home then the rest of the VP faithful could be wavering too Dave.
