    It was a complete accident.
He was a really nice bloke

I actually discharged myself from hospital a day early so I could watch a city game at Odsal.

A Thursday night game against Wimbledon. (1-1)

For those who didn't hear this last night, Radio Leeds (Jamie Raynor) held a pre-match interview with Steve Hamilton who appears to be the chair of the new Independent Supporters Group who organised the fans forum at the Latvian Club.

It's worth listening to and Steve Hamilton makes some good points which the club needs to respond to. It's here ...

and starts at about 20.00 mins for about 10 mins or so

I posted at the time that I thought he was clear and articulate. Seems a decent "choice" to be chair a fans group.

Good that. I like the way Steve came across. He gave balanced and sensible answers to the questions with none of the hyperbole you get with some of these groups.
I might consider joining the ISG.

I would have thought @Fordy117@Fordy117 would sound more like Foghorn Leghorn
"Ah say...ah say look here boy. You can't be leaving Liverpool. Must be dumber than soup!"

Hi everyone, I can confirm it was me. I was a little tired by that point. It had been a long day. I stand by what I said. We need a plan, the club to engage with us all as supporters, and a willingness from the club to execute that plan. Here's hoping we all get what we want as fans.

Best of luck Steve, I'm not very confident you'll get any genuine engagement from the club but thank you for your efforts.

Steve may come along and correct me but I think that is the amount of members an association needs to have before it has to fully recognised by a club (something like that anyway)

Good luck with the new supporters group.

Most of what I've seen and heard from you, I agree with. I don't underestimate what you'll need to do to change the mindset within the leadership of the club both Sparks and Rupp. I'm sure you'll hear some fine words from Sparks and be provided with lots of reassuring promises. He's good at that. I'm sure he does a good job when measured against what his boss expects. But for me, that isn't compatible with what most supporters want which is promotion.

There hsve been a series of managerial appointments each of which have resulted in a rebuilding of the squad. That doesn't feel like the best use of the club's resources. There's no continuity, no apparent plan within the club and worryingly Sparks doesn't appear to recognise or understand that. I have serious doubts that that will change.

Imo, he'll continue to do exactly what his boss wants which is to focus on the sustainability agenda even if that means continuing to reduce the playing budget each year in real terms. And that's despite the good work which has been done on the commercial aspects and increasing the club's revenues. When other clubs are focused on achieving footballing success, we're focused foremost on simply balancing the books with no vision on how the club should develop and evolve. That needs to change at a fundamental level.

I wish you well in your endeavours and trust that the club, both Rupp and Sparks, will engage with you in a meaningful way.

A good summary Dennis. I've been sceptical of this organisation in what good they might achieve but after listening to his interview with Jamie Raynor I can hear him speaking my thoughts regarding the clubs inactivity to go forward. I took wish him and his group well, I don't underestimate his task as Sparks is good at reading off the script to anyone he allows to interview him.
All I hope is they get a better dialogue than the official supporters group who just toe the line for some personal kudos. We all know what the truth is, that Rupp over values the club in some vain hope he might get his money back when it's not really worth half of what he wants.
    Good luck.

Gentlemen, thank you for this. All good points. The action we announced, and which you will see on our social platforms and in here, is designed to raise awareness and bring the club out of hiding. The task ahead is hard and I am under no illusions of the scale of it. We may fail but the more support we have from our fans, the more leverage we have to continue to exert pressure on Stefan Rupp and Ryan Sparks to come to the table. As for ongoing negotiations with the club, it will always be about the supporters, their conditions, and praising the club when they action positive things and challenging the club when they fail to meet their obligations to our supporters. If the situation arises where it becomes about me then I will resign with immediate effect. I would rather just be a supporter and all that entails. We know that not all fans will agree with some of the actions we are planning, and we feel it is equally as important that the views of fans who may disagree that the job that Rupp and Sparks have done so far is poor, are represented as well. However, we have to look at the biggest percentage of fans, and currently they are not happy with Sparks and Rupp. If we are to achieve change for our supporters and get communication back to levels that they should be then we need our supporters to take a chance on us and back the action and help me...It takes a lot of time so far and I am juggling trying to run my business, being a husband and a father alongside love for the club and it's supporters...I feel balder already. Thanks for the kind words guys. I will keep trying to deliver what we all need. Please support us if you can. I have no God given right to ask but I could do with all the help I can get.
