I don’t think it’s a vanity project,he doesnt want to sell at a loss and he certainly hasn’t made his fortune by buying something and selling at half price a few years later. If there is a Yorkshire syndicate let them make themselves known rather than just a shadowy rumour and fans could get behind them if they are credible and would pass an EFL test.

 

And in Bingley Bantams case it feels a bit like jealously that either they aren't involved or they didn't set something up themselves.

I can't accept that they are happy with the status quo right now so there must be reasoning behind the disparaging comments.

 

I don't believe Sparks would ever walk. He's the most "over promoted" individual in the history of over promoted people. Not even the Civil Service over promote people in the way he has been elevated. If he walked he would get a job running a social media account for a small marketing company on a third of his salary, he will cling on until he' either arrested or dies.

 

I agree the matchday experience has become dull to say the least but nothing that 1 or 2 good seasons can’t bring back.
Cancelling season tickets, hoping that sponsors cancel so that Rupp takes notice will only end up with us in the NL.
What would the matchday experience look like then because it won’t be at VP

 

Perhaps a letter or email contacting and inviting the individual supporters groups to help set up a committee would help.

That way everyone gets to feel involved and there's a broader consensus on topics going forward when it comes to decision making.

 

If that was the case then how did Rahic get away with the carnage he caused.............as soon as McCall was given the boot the season after Wembley he should have been here questioning what was happeing .......... he did nothing and thats a big reason we are here today

Without footballing success, progress is difficult, without funding , it’s almost impossible to sustain it.
That’s where we are, because history tells us so, like it or not.

Doesnt for a second make it right nor acceptable, but unless there is investment above so called sustainability, progress will never be achieved. It’s practically impossible to achieve without money?

Rupp needs to realise it . Will he, I doubt it because the club isn’t in his blood.

Not just Richmond Kevin, we also had the Stafford Heginbotham and Jack Tordoff 1980s when we stormed the 3rd tier and came within a whisker of the top division in1988. In fact from 1985 to 2004 we spent 13 out of 19 years in the top two divisions. We just need the club to be run well and we could repeat that success.

 

But the catalyst has to be an interested owner willing to invest. It won’t happen on its own with sustainability.

 

Am at a loss as to how he views us
I understand he won't sell at a loss a man who has made as much money as he has would realise one of his assets is failing and do something about it rather than let it stagnate we are not plodding along sustainably we are regressing year on year
Who knows whether the "Yorkshire" consortium exists I certainly don't and suspect you don't either but we can only hope

 

To be fair, SH & JT saved the club, but they didn't invest millions into making us a success. That was down to choosing good managers, and it had a brief backward step when SH left and before GR came in.

 

In actual fact Stafford and Jack said we need to be a sustainable club after the 1983 financial collapse under Bob Martin. It’s a dirty word nowadays but financial sustainability was Stafford and Jacks mantra.
