    Maybe Rhodes will do the smart move in loaning him out to a rival and he will score 20 plus goals for them which will fire them into div 1.

    They don't even have a manager. I can't see anyone being mad enough to pay Vaughan what we are paying him next season. Bolton or Salford maybe?

    Just compare their records Mac played most of his football at a higher level. Also a full back these days has to contribute to attack as well look at McMahons record compared with Darbs. I acknowledge that Stephens career was tragically cut short and I think he had other good attributes such as being a great captain but in my opinion McMahon was a considerably better player

    Darby was a better RB than McMahon. McMahon was technically a better player but he wasn't a better RB.

    That might have something to it as there are rumours going around about Charlie Wyke returning. Yes he would have to take a pay cut but Vaughan is on decent money. Mecca said when talking to Vaughan he only wanted players who had the right attitude and wanted to be here. We don't know what reaction Stuart got from him.

    Don't need to Darby was captain of Livepool reserves, played in the CL. We signed him from Liverpool and when he left us he joined Bolton who were in the Championship.

    Ended his career early as we know. Darby was better than him but look that's when Bradford was good and we had 2/3 players that could all battle for the a shirt in their position.

    Now we have Guthrie.

    Elliott Watt was online at Carlisle, which reminded me about Nathan Thomas - he looked like the ONLY good player in the 0-0 bore draw.

    True to this conversation, Watt had a loan at Gillingham cancelled as he couldn't settle in the South.

    Surely he got released, he was on the transfer list a couple of seasons ago - looked a strong athlete, but it's only based on one game.

    Parky signed plenty of utility players.
    Rory McArdle was signed as a right back who could fill in at CB
    Nathan Doyle was considered versatile and could play at the back
    Carl McHugh was considered as much a left back as CB
    Will Atkinson would play anywhere across the midfield

    And that's before you get onto some of the less remembered players
    Curtis Good CB/RB
    Ryan Dickson played anywhere on the left
    Tom Naylor - utility

    That was just the 2012/13 season and we all know what happened then!
    No squad at this level can afford to have purely specialised cover in every position and tbh if say you are a back up specialist RB it shows that you are a) not good enough and b) can't adapt for the good of team when needed
