Sorry, thought we were talking owners.

Please set the bar higher than Captain Admin! I think if tend towards Fordy in that comparison.

No most are funded on borrowings.
Ironically todays opponents ARE funded by a Singapore narcisst Billionaire whom can claim he is pals with Neville (s), Beckham el al for that benefit.

I haven't looked that far into it recently but I seem to remember it was a lot of owner funding (even if it was loans made by the owner) a couple of years ago.

I wonder what they borrow against. Most of the grounds in league 2 are worth less than my house :joy:

There is no sentiment in business so unless Rupp feels he owes us, there appears to be no reason for him to hang on in. Without investment we just cannot improve either the team's position or the Club's. In effect it becomes even more of a liability and a millstone around the neck of a custodian who apparently has little affinity with the game. If we do fail this season,I would think there may well be change, either that or he throws more money at us..and that seems a tad unlikely.

Posted sack the board thread couple of weeks ago

We need a real change at the top, Rupp must be thinking the same his investment is a busted flush he needs to get serious or feck off

Absolutely bang on Mrs O. The only problem is; one thing to want to sell with a better than 99% loss and actually finding someone willing to buy even at that rate.

    They don't borrow.
As I mentioned, They are funded by Billionaire Peter Lim.
he also owns Valencia FC in Spain. See the Gary Neville connection there .
Lost £2m last year getting promotion from the National League. That's petty cash for Lim .

They're not funded by Peter Lim he owns about 70% of the club. The class of 92 are just the face for it.

Most clubs have 'Assets' that the owner can lien against. That is borrowing not funding

I said before Bowyer left nothing will change if we just get rid of him, it was plain as day, but some celebrated like we were on course to win the league. I stand by what I said, it’s far more important to get rid of Rupp and Rhodes than any managers, too many managers have come and failed to just be coincidental bad appointments, there’s more to it.

Nothing against Rupp seems like a decent human, but he was naive enough to put decent money into a project he had no interest in by a con man because he probably thought he could make more money and get the fame and glory which successful football owners get. Now it’s blown up in his face he’d be better just cutting his losses, even if he only gets a million it’s better than having spunked potentially another £4/5 mil just keeping us competitive at this level. I honestly think Rhodes or someone who knows football needs a serious chat with him and give him some good advice, because barring a miracle the losses will just keep on going up.

As for Rhodes he’s always reminded me of the Tories of 2010, austerity, austerity, austerity. I can just imagine him sat looking at spreadsheets thinking of how to keep the club in the black even if it bottoms us out as a lower half league 2 club again like when he last owned the club. Or worse! Make no mistake under Lawn and Rhodes we were going to non league without Parkinson in 2011/12, still his most underrated achievement with us imo was keeping us up that season and that would have finished us off.

I’m sure there’s buyers out there but only at a knock down price, we need someone to convince Rupp to sell imo, or do something which makes him want to.

I would be genuinely interested to see what most clubs borrow against. As I said, I've never considered most league 2 stadiums to be particularly valuable and I can't think what else they have.
