    This is just plain rubbish, even the article you link to says different, The auctions you mention are for Russian gas and have been suspended by Russia and in fact most of our gas imported is not from Russia but from Norway and the USA;
We are using a lot more gas as our supply of Electricity from France has been cut by half due to a fire at the terminal in the UK so we are burning gas to make electricity which is pushing up the price of both, We are actually using coal fired plants to help as well much against the green policy

There is far to much importance put on a trade deal with the US it really is not as important as the media and others keep on about, The deal we have although piecemeal hugely favors the UK and even with a deal it is more likely our exports to the US will not increase very much if at all, More important is the fact that we are by far the largest investor in assets in each others country. It is far more better to pick products that favor our economy to get deals on which we are doing rather than a overall trade deal that would flood us with cheap US products we could not compete with

I don't always agree with everything you put but there's a lot of truth in this.

Just think back to the time around the vote, the election and right up to completion. There were so many people on the remain side who said things like....

"Boris is just cuddling up to the US but any trade deal will mean he's opening up the NHS to them and selling it off" or "if we do a trade deal we'll be flooded with chlorinated chicken", etc, etc.....

Now these same bloody people are saying "Why isn't Boris getting a trade deal with the US"

It was similar with the New Zealand deal. prior to it occurring...."Free Trade is good"...."they'll never be able to get a deal with other countries so quickly". They sign a free trade deal and it instantly becomes "removing Tariffs from New Zealand will hurt our farmers".

Any trade deal that removes tariffs will have pluses and minuses each way, especially with a superpower such as the USA so while I'd love for us to get a deal because I love the idea of free trade lets not pretend that if we actually got one there wouldn't be a hundred things to complain about. The flexibility to pick the items that benefit us and give up select things in return is still beneficial.

You have a skill at obfuscation you should use it to make money. just like the people who brought you brexit did.

Look around you now, theres you, giddy (bronco) and liddy (trevor). the only ones preaching about something which is quite simply an embarrassment.

I do use it to make money weirdly enough. :joy:

But in this case I'm not doing it. Just pointing out that there is no perfect solution to their things and the same people who pointed out the negatives of taking a course of action previously are the same ones moaning because we haven't yet done it.

You seem to have a skill for ignoring any points raised that don't fit with your existing beliefs and taking about something else. Everyone has a role I suppose.

Yes really. House prices majoritively rose and was caused by the back of the stamp duty hiatus due to government action during the pandemic . Source The Cancellor of The Exchequer. Sunak. I suppose he would know? Squit to do with leaving Europe. Price of UK houses are on the whole rising because the Government’s own promise of building affordable housing , 100,000 in
    was not met.

At the last count it built in the time period ZERO, Nil, Nadda, feck all. Source The Foreign Secretary Liz Truss.

Build houses, less demand, don’t build houses more demand equals rising house prices. With me so far?

So you're saying that despite the things that were promised not actually happening...........they did actually happen?

Yes, there's other factors in play (aren't there always? No one factor sits in isolation in any economy) but it's okay to just say that house prices didn't go down by 18%, sterling didn't go down by 15%, unemployment didn't go to 820,000, wages didn't go down by 4%, etc, etc. These claims plainly weren't true because they didn't happen.

Lots of other things did happen, it's not perfect, but these claims were false.

Could you kindly attach the Governments own impact assessment, I’m not interested in any others. They are irrelevant depending which side of the fence you sit. The Government’s OWN as leaked to the Sunday Times. Then we can check them off for accuracy. Happy?

Why? I thought you said that every single "scare story" claim that remain made turned out to be correct? Why are we limiting that?

It is hard to judge regards Brexit Pros and Cons because we have a woefully inept government unable to make any kind of right decision, They are in for a huge kicking as the winter kicks in and the shameful cuts on the poor kick in and even affect there own supporters, It would be an own goal for Labour if there own leader was not just as inept politically

. I suggested we can check them off and we will see how the majority of the Gov OWN predictions have come true. You won’t find it in the House of Commons library because they refused to publish it, but didn’t deny the leaked version wasn’t accurate or indeed their own publication.

Whilst we find it, what have been the BENEFITS so far in the last 9 months.

I'm not particularly interested in what it says. I know that my house price didn't fall by 18% therefore I know it isn't true. I don't need someone to tell me.

There's been absolutely no benefits in the last 9 months, could argue the early start on the vaccine programme but it's probably negligible in the grand scheme of things. You see, I'm happy to answer questions like that in a straightforward way, i don;t know why we're going round in circles trying to prove that house prices dropped when they clearly haven't.
