The potenial change of party leader is up to Tory members if the vote had gone against her, totally different from a one off referendum where voters of either political persuasion voted for remain/leaving.
The deal she has brought back is a poor deal, how can we possibly accept the backstop as it is, the DUP definatly wouldnt, if it was that we end it when we think the backstop had worked and was no longer required then as I've posted before that would be acceptable IMO to the majority as well as most Tory and DUP MPs, that deal would have covered everything the brexit voters voted for, or do we keep having votes until the remainers win the day.

well just the first page he assumes we will lose trade with the EU and over 70 countries and that will effect nearly 70% of our trade, This is wrong because our biggest trade is with the USA which at over 30% of our trade by itself yet no mention of this, Trade with the commonwealth is not mentioned which will not be affected but his assumption trade will stop with the EU and the other 70 countries is ludicrous, We will go to WTO terms until new agreements are made and although the EU may play silly buggers with us the 70+ he mentions will agree no tariff trade very quickly because it would affect them more than us given they sell more to us than we then, The rest of the article is flawed the same way but am not prepared to spend hours going through every item and posting. As have said there is not long to wait to see who is right and whether we have life after the EU or as the blinkered but staunch remainders think the end of the world will will happen and all life cease to exist

BTW if there is a second referendum the question should be a choice between 1, The deal on offer, or 2, Leave with no deal. There should be no remain option as that has already been asked and a clear answer given, The referendum should be HOW we leave not IF again

All decisions have pros and cons, in all matters, across the globe.

I am a Brexiter, and it's what I believe in, long term. The UK has been struggling in a financial cesspit since the US Mother of all financial shit storms broke out in 2008. We were trundling along fine before EU - WE can do it again.
I want a say in laws and finances relevant to the UK - And not be dictated to by Brussels.

If we stay ........... What's next ? Sign up to adopting the Euro as the national currency ?

If ONLY George Orwell had penned a book '2025' - Now that would be an interesting read.

The reason the leave vote won was purely down to the complacent attitude of the remainers. No one really believed we would actually vote to leave. Only 34.73% of the electorate actually got off their arses and voted.
Thats a piss poor effort by UK citizens. 2 out of 3 weren't that bothered to vote. Again I think of the complacency that 65.27% probably thought remain would win.
I was surprised there wasn't a minimum % turnout threshold applied to validate the vote.
Scotland keep harping on that they voted to remain yet after a general election they don't ask that the vote be re run so that the SNP could get into Government instead of the Tories.

    ***WINNER***

For me that's the reason no one had any plans for Brexit, the ruling classes thought it was a forgone conclusion

brexit is a catastrophe for the UK. If we had never joined in the first place and we had been given the prospect of joining instead of leaving I think people wouldnt be that opposed to it.

The world is entering a new epoch and small nations will not be able to compete for resources. Im a proud British person and I think leave voters have the best intentions for the UK but that brexit will actually reduce our global power.

Sorry leavers but brexit is bad for us.

Any subsequent vote/referendum must have a minimum % turnout then most of us could boycott them seeing as the last one has been ignored by those dozey tw4ts in parliament...

Amazing how May does not know the ace in the hole she holds or chooses not to use it, The EU does not want a border in Ireland, The Irish republic does not want a border in Ireland, But if the EU refuse a deal we can live with and force us in to a no deal Brexit then the Irish and the EU will be forced to build a border customs checkpoint between the two countries in the Republic or ban all trade in to the EU as goods between the UK and The Republic will carry tariffs,

Although supporting Brexit I was never of the view that parliament and our elected elite betters would allow the wishes of the people and that they would stop us leaving the EU, They have always demonstrated a view that they view the electorate as inferior to themselves and tonight have proved that conclusively

We can now only hope for a 'no deal' conclusion, for all bar3 of labour and SNP to vote against ( for totally different reasons from the Tory dissenters) shows that they are just against May's deal for their own reasons rather that the 17.4 million voters that had the wisdom to vote 'OUT' ....

Unfortunately we're are now seeing democracy in action, I emailed Judith Cummings my MP for Bradford South and told her a majority of people in Bradford South voted to leave the European Union and I hoped she would vote to represent her constituents, I got an auto-response as confirmation of receipt of your email back, then another telling me what a bad deal this was that Theresa May had been offered and she would be voting it down, no problem it's a terrible deal, now comes the hard work when May goes back to with the answer and says it is unacceptable to Parliament and the British people.

It would be interesting to apply an age demographic to the survey. Nationally it tends to be old people for brexit, young people against. Clearly everyone has a vote but the challenge here is that the benefits/negatives of brexit wont be seen for decades (arguably when most of the people who voted for it will be dead or drawing pensions). Brexit is about the future but that is not a consideration that most voters applied. For them it was about the here and now. That is also why a second referendum makes brexiters nervous - as days click by brexit voters die and remain voters turn 18.

Trying to understand this Brexit then.

Labour are saying we should stay in the customs union. Is that actually Brexit then?

    Genuine question. It's confusing!!

As it wasn’t decided what Leave meant before the vote so Leave could mean anything

Yer, fair point to be honest.

Leaving and Brexit could mean different things to different people.

No. Customs Union equals no separate trade deals which was a core component of the leave argument in 2016.
