Why do exporters to non-EU countries have to pay bucket loads of cash to the EU?

They do not, must have made it not clear, We pay nothing to export to the rest of the world but unless we have a trade deal the exporter has to pay tariffs, In the EU we as a country pay the EU to allow our exporters free access to the EU market which works out at around £150 per person per year paid out of our taxes to the EU

That's not how tariffs work. The consumer pays the tariffs, not the exporter and certainly not the tax payers from the country of origin.

Did you not read the document that was published prior to the referendum ?, it stated by voting Leave we would exit all of the EU doctrines including the single market etc . To come back now and say " Leavers didn't really understand what out meant " is a bit of a red herring . The government got elected on the strength of letting the people decide , they didn't expect the result though . What are your thoughts on a EU army ?, the German MEP who stated that MORE powers should be transferred to the EU to " prevent " other coutries being able to leave ?, like what as been mentioned the EU is like the Hotel California ie :- You can checkout any time you like but you can never leave . Nobody was given the option when Major and his cronies signed up to this corrupt money pit , and i bet if the people knew what this many headed Hydra was to become it would have been voted down . With regards a 2nd " peoples " vote why did Blier and Clown agree to it then back down and sign an agreement when Liebour was last in power ? . Both sides lied but you only highlight the Leave portion -- strange that .

I've seen this EU army thing mentioned as some sort of bogey man a few times on the brexit threads on here and haven't really seen it mentioned anywhere else. Is it the idea of an EU army in general that's a worry or is it a dislike of the idea of the UK joining an EU army that is the issue?

The first referendum was a joke. A complete lack of concrete information from either side, a handful of lies and the odd bit of corruption. The question is, would a 2nd referendum be any different? Are people more clued up now about what Brexit would involve and what it would mean for them and their families?

Personally I think that there would be a lot more fear now from those that weren't firmly in either camp, and that fear may swing it for remain.

There is a hole For a new party. I think Conservatives have lost all credibility and are a party of disparate functions. Labour have disappointed me by not coming off the fence and giving a definitive view on Brexit. They want to get back into power so are happy for conservatives to fail at the expense of the country. Maybe a centralist Macron type party?

The issues we have with interpreting what Brexit actually is...Christ knows the difficulty we will have actually implementing it.

I can see the transition period lasting until 2022, coincidentally the next election.

Weren't the Lib/Dems supposed to be that very party when the formed, and over the years they have made little progress with regards being the major opposition party, I'm with you with regards the Labour party on the referendum one Labour MP after another giving different versions of the six tests for the Brexit deal.

I agree but the coalition and back tracking on many of their policies ie tuition fees lost them credibility and core support. I liked Nick Clegg but he’s now a consultant for a Facebook. Like Ghandi working for the British foreign office

Yes it was a difficult one for them when they went into coalition with the Tories as you point out back tracking on the their manifesto, as you say tuition fees.

    Lol

There no way that document can get passed by Parliament, the back stop is a joke the DUP won't back that part of the deal, as some quoted a Hotel California deal, "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!" unless the EU say you can.
