He won’t be allowed to and labour will bring a vote of no confidence maybe even before Parliament breaks and there are a lot of Tories who hate him. There could be an election in October

If a deal cannot get through Parliament then no other choice but to leave without a deal. Boris has pledged now so be interesting to see what happens.

Boris has an ace card up his sleeve if that happens. It is called Farage. If they make a pact for the sake of Brexit then the Tories will win any election with a huge majority backed up by the Brexit Party in Parliament.

I don't think Corbyn would be, but someone with more charisma and ability to deal with the inevitable media pelters left wing leaders get would be, as his policy platform is sound. We've had nearly a decade of Tory rule now and frankly I think they've reached the point every administration does where they run out of ideas beyond those to keep themselves in power. It's time for a change once Brexit is done with.

I just don’t really see what will happen between now and October. Isn’t the European Parliament on summer break for September? What can we realistically expect to change on the Brexit front between now and our revised exit date.

If they bring a vote of no confidence after the holidays when they return then a no deal brexit is guaranteed and cannot be stopped

Wouldn’t surprise me if they called for one tomorrow there would be a fair chance of it. If the remainers in the Tories pur their conscience before their jobs

Had to smile at Corbyn saying Boris had no manifesto as leader, surely his manifesto would be the same as May's.
And didnt the same apply when Blair left and Brown took over without even a vote from the Labour party members, very selective memory Jeremy.
And to be honest I don't know why he and the others in his shadow cabinet think they would be swept into power if there was a general election, Corbyn needs to get his own house in order starting with regards antisemitism its not going away Jeremy.

Corbyn will be careful to lose a vote of no confidence, He is now worried because like him or not Boris has a habit of winning elections, Corbyn at his age only has one chance of winning an election he will not want to waste it, Nervous times for Corbyn with those who want his job waiting

Just what does Chuka Umuna add to any debate the man is whoring himself out to any party that might listen, typical career politician
I can see why people are aghast at the thought of Boris being PM but come on Corbyn and the Labour party change there minds as they go along.
Never mind Corbyn as PM but to have Dianne Abbott as Home Secretary that has to be a piss take.
And the new leader of the LibDems openly says her intention is to stop Brexit, not a negotiated exit but to openly defy a democratic vote, even though they stood
    on an anti Brexit campian.

I’m not a fan of Corbyn either. But yeah, Boris Johnson, he’s a idiot. Having qualifications does not preclude someone from being an idiot with no working personal radar on what is acceptable. I listened to one of his hustings two weeks ago. Never have i heard a prospective prime minister offer up such over waffled, stuttery, embarrassing ‘answers’ to not even that challenging a-questions.

Best of luck all his ‘fans’ though. I look forward to our future relationship with europe being better than what we already have, then us bending over, arse up, lube ready for donald trump to have his merry way with us. And also i look forward to an even more divided Uk, so much so it probably won’t even be the UK anymore sooner than we think. Congratulations. But at least you’ll still have a tory party, a tory and UNIONIST party. The latter has to be a piss take when they have just jeopardised that very thing significantly, all by themselves.

Great start by Boris, May had some of the most incompetent ministers in modern history in her cabinet, Chosen on the basis that they were worse than her and a balance of brexit or remain, He has got rid of the dead weight ministers who accomplished nothing and has replaced with hard working talented ministers,

To level that at Corbyn and not Boris is a bit much, Boris flip flopped very publicly many times about whether he wanted to leave or remain and has a much more established reputation for being economical with the truth. We now have a home secretary who got sacked for breaking the Ministerial Code, which to my recollection Abbott has never done. Patel also believes that the British are amongst the worst idlers in the world (direct quote from a book she co-authored), a ridiculous statement given we work some of the longest hours in Western Europe. The simple reality is in terms of competence, these people are the exact same level as their counterparts on the left as after nearly 10 years, any administration begins to run out of talent and ideas.

Swanson though is muppet extraordinaire, Lib dems hold an election for leader and elect another tory!

They are all as bad IMO, the only reason I'm backing Boris is he COULD be the only person to possibly deliver Brexit, although with Tory resignations their majority being 1 at the moment plus 75% of MPs not wanting to come out of the EU I honestly can't see it happening, we shall see.

He's the best chance of anyone in Parliament who had any chance of becoming PM to deliver brexit. With the cabinet hes now got there aren't really any barriers to it anymore beyond his lack of a majority. However that's discounting Labour rebels and theres a few in there who are brexiteers themselves. I'm resigned to it happening now and I think we could probably manage a deal brexit, but no deal will just shag everything as we're nowhere near prepared for the reality of what it will be imo. Grayling couldn't even organise a stress test of the emergency plan for Dover properly.

May was a disaster and her government of incompetents, The EU revealing she accepted the leaving plan they drew up virtually without challenge and at one point begged them to help her, Boris is a different character altogether and is well known in the EU for his straight talking and bluster, It is noticeable that when asked about the leaving agreement under Boris the normal reply is it can not be reopened or altered in anyway, This has changed to the answer now that some wriggle room is available, That is even before Boris has started

Ah... Jeremy (whats my policy today?) Corbyn. Reminds me of Wilfred Bramble except Bramble was successful in what he did.

Now JC wants to ignore 17.4 million votes to further his own rapidly failing political career.

Maybe so, he’s her dream appointment though. And a No deal brexit will seal the deal. But to be fair to Nicola Sturgeon, as much as I dislike her, she doesn’t come out with any where near as much outdated, insulting crap as Boris.
