The suggestion, is being made, that Bolton called the match off without consulting either the EFL or Doncaster Rovers. It is being reported that Doncaster have still not been formally told that the match is off.

Another point deduction coming their way. As sad as it is, if they haven’t told Donny, then they should get the deduction.

Not a nice situation, but not Donnys team or fans fault. They may as well right this season off and go again in league 2 next season.

Yes just watched on Sky. The EFL have not been consulted and therefore are not prepared to comment. I think it is right the match does not go ahead, and the EFL will need to take a serious look at this to see whether it is fair for legally arranged matches to be called off due to the mess at Bolton. The rest of League are continually being dragged into this. Feel sorry for them but this cannot carry on.

It is to do with the number games the kids are being asked to play in such a short period of time. There are rules for the juniors about gaps between games which do not apply to first team games. PP says as his team is made up of juniors the rules should apply.
I can see his point. If it isn’t safe for the kids to play in junior matches so often then surely same applies to first team games

Understand the health and safety impact but at such short notice the 3 points should be awarded to doncaster.

The postponement is not their fault and more than likely they would have beaten bolton.
Are bolton allowed the luxury of playing just once a week?
If they cant fulfil their fixtures and it keeps dragging on then there is only one course of action left.

I think both Bolton and Bury should be expelled from the EFL. If they cannot fulfil their fixtures then that's the only option in my opinion as it's unfair on every other team in the league.

Can't agree, that hits the very people who have done nothing wrong except support their club, easy to dismiss the people who it will really hurt.

They can find another club to support. Maybe start AFC Bolton. Seriously though, what other choice do they have? League One is a joke at the moment thanks to what's going on with these two.

Agree, Bolton have been taking the piss for far too long now, ger em out, who do they think they are just cancelling games like that without permission.
All this founder member crap does not wash and them thinking that they should be treated differently.
If they are not expelled then 40 more points deducted this season and 50 next season, that will teach them and ensure other clubs won't take the piss like they are.
They made the problem themselves by insisting they start the season and now they are struggling getting hammered every week they take their bat and ball home and say we're not playing, i say feck em.

Why should a set of fans be punished they love their club just as we do. I believe there is a takeover ready at Bolton held up by a court injunction brought about by Bassini with a court hearing on September 2nd. This could have been us a few years ago and could be again in the furure

You believe wrongly. The injunction was lifted at the start of last week. The preferred buyers do not want to complete until they have also tied up a deal for the hotel which different administrators are dealing with.

Wrong. Taken from today Bolton wanderers news

Couple that with the ongoing legal issues off the field, involving a certain Laurence Bassini, this takeover doesn’t look close to being completed until his case has been dealt with on September 2.

Correct, and it's further complicated by the fact that there are a number of parties interested in taking over the hotel, and the administrator needs examine their bids, undertake due diligence on funding etc. They are not going to just hand the deal to Football Ventures.

I think you are either misreading things or misinterpreting. The injunction is no longer in force to stop the sale. That is what the court decided. FV may not want to proceed currently, or more likely one of the creditors doesn’t but that is totally different to the injunction blocking it.

This is from the BBC TODAY
    F2A0563A-2A0A-452D-9F8B-2BC5D4165E4F.png

The injunction is now between the previous owner and Bassini rather than the club. Thus it doesn’t block the sale.

    I await your apology

It is more unfair on the team that missed out on promotion because of Bury cheating
