Maybe we could argue a change of use rent reduction. Well, it's not being used to play football at the moment.

Well lads & lasses we know whos fault it is come January when we can't sign these marque players.
I would have loved to sign for Bradford City Mr Rahic but your fans can be rather boisterous at times, even flying a big banner over Valley Parade saying they prefer you not to be at the club, I am of a fragile nature, and come out in a rash if I hear any criticism of how I perform, so its a no from me.
    Regards

Eh you, I voted for the brass to be spent on players don't try to lay the blame at this 25year season ticket holder :(.

Both owners knew that there was a rent review periodically, I think every 5 years so someone didn't to their due diligence very well.
I think the latest rise was June/July and was around the £5k mark.

Does Edin not employ Abbo in a 'dual' role, for that ? :shifty:

I dont believe him and find it difficult to see how this could possibly be. Considering it been widely accepted the budget has been slashed considerably twice.
This also meets with Simon Graysons quote that Rahic needs to lower the fans expectations.

Perhaps he's been economical with the details of this budget. The financial fair play dictates a club is only allowed to spend x% of its income on players transfers/wages etc.
There with a lower amount of expendicture tbis the % has gone up, albeit with less spent.

The form of the team, the toxic atmosphere and fan against fan is quite disconcerning, however it's this financial deal set up for them to buy the club that has my alarm bells ringing.

I'll speak in terms of if's here, however from what Ive read and gleamed (and documented on here) it appears to be something not wide of the mark.

Rupp has meant to have loaned his company 4million towards buying the club. So in essence he's lent himself 4m to buy the club. Therefore the clubs income (US!!) is paying the loan back with interest!.
Eventually they'll own a club to re-sell, or do whatever they wish, that we have effectively bought for them!
Is that how others see it?

Absolutely Yen, that is my understanding hence my outrage and asking if it was legal and apparently it is. I would expect them to receive dividends as and when we have a profit, so they would eventually get it back.

However, this paying a loan back out of the working capital is something I don’t agree with, and like you point out, we the fans and sponsors are basically buying the club for them, meanwhile our team is sub standard.

Plus approx 12% interest of course.

So should we be asking Mr Rhodes why he sold the club given these arrangements as it it puts us at a disadvantage - especially with no other investment been forthcomimg to strengthen by adding further quality to the team Stuart Mccall inherited.

If this is true, and I'm coming to believe it is, these two crooks aren't getting a penny more from me. I've said before that to hurt the owners and get them to go we have to hurt the club and ourselves. But it has to be done. We might then have a club to rescue at the end of it all. If we don't act now I can genuinely see us going out of the league, and maybe out of existence.

Perhaps Valter Mitty convinced Julian that he did in fact know football. And when he got us into the Championship, with a squad full of 21year old superstars. This 5th richest league in the world would more than pay off this 'Loan' !!

Agree, I didn't renew, don't regret it and now have no intention of doing so again under these owners.

However, we won't go out of existence, Halifax didn't, Aldershot didn't, Darlington didn't and Spanish clubs go "pop" all the time before a pheonix is ready for the next season. They need to fear losing the club, not the fans.

No idea what took place during negotiations, but also a rumour that they paid Lawn and Rhodes via instalments. If that is true, no money has actually been paid by either Rahic or Rupp, who knows, but not another penny of our family money is going anywhere near until I have actually heard from both owners exactly what money has left their collective bank accounts to pay for the club. If they have paid by instalments why the 12%, unless Lawn and Rhodes insisted on interest?

Furthermore I trust our accountants on here to examine what has been said and checked it out.

I believe the rent is increased every three years (might be five) according to a predetermined formula which has nothing to do with league position.

In comparison to other grounds, I understand independent analysis has shown City gets a reasonable/pretty good deal.

In terms of football income by division vs rent, the cost of VP looks something like this ...

    Premier League = Peanuts
    Championship = Cheap
    League One = Affordable
    League Two = Expensive

Look Rahic paid £200k of his own money which he has now had back at £11k a month since 2006

    There in this for £££

It’s all smoke and mirrors and anyone who disagrees can f*jsjs off as well

Edin really doesn't do himself any favours he knew there was growing unrest against his policies he knew we were in the worst league position for a good few years and what does he quote
Excuses about the players feeling the effects of any unrest and then the weather (same for every other club) What he should have said is acknowledge we are not very good and how we are going to halt the slide and start to progress He makes it seem like it's his "Train Set" and he will do what he wants maybe a quick course in Public Relations would help
