You have to be intelligent to understand that the winner of our tie against Yeovil had the same numbered ball whoever it was. The draw paired Yeovil with Manchester United ergo had we beaten Yeovil we would have played Manchester United. The only thing that may have been different in that scenario would have been the mood around the club.

I suppose the key point is that we have an admission that the FA cup defeat had a material impact on the transfer window last January, which throws into question the preparation for the January window. Who knows, had we beaten Yeovil the ball picker might have picked out Reading away which would have pretty much left us scratching around for players.

It also all but confirms that Edin Rahic threw a hissy fit about missing out on a potential windfall. This hissy fit obviously caused major problems in the club...McCall not supported and leaving, players wanting to leave and the general decline of our club.

 

Have to disagree that we would definitely have drawn Man U. The same number ball or not had we won lots of football related things and beyond would now be different.
We may have still got the same draw but maybe not, if Edin thinks losing to Yeovil meant we lost out on playing Man U he is wrong, we missed out on the chance of a big tie in round 3.

 

On reflection this doesn't surprise me
The only other thing he didn't blame were the pigeons in the main stand
Far from placating the fans who are already fed up I think this has made things worse
What doesn't seem to have been considered is that without fans or a willing rich backer this club will go to the wall
Sponsors will be wanting to pay less if the ground is nearly empty and don't fool yourselves the only reason a firm sponsors the club is to get themselves noticed Spend on a match day will evaporate it's a vicious circle If we were top of the league scoring for fun and playing attractive football he would have a right to comment sadly we are not

Has the fans attitude contributed to the dross Edin has served up at VP for the last two seasons by the players he has been instrumental in signing.

 

The way it works with Ego’s like him is this. He is basically saying that we mustn’t protest as this will upset the players and make them play crap, this will then have a knock on effect of our wonderful leaders ability to sign quality in January.

Or if you prefer my interpretation, the Ego will then blame the fans because they didn’t listen to his advice, and justifies the lack of investment in January. All neatly tied up in the fans fault that we are going to be relegated fully justifying his own view of the world.

There will be no meaningful investment in January.

No Silverbantam.The club used SOME of the money from the charlie Wyke sale to get Doyle.It was a nominal fee to get Scannell, just like we sold players on for nominal fees.
The weekly wagebill would have had to been increased to the market rate for league one, otherwise the club would have had another Jan 2018 and struggled to bring in any players whatsoever.
The lack of quality in the squad is telling.
Hope the players are still on an edin bonus wage and have seen that all but disappear due to their efforts.
