So……went to the club shop for my lad to get the new away strip, with Angol 7 on the back. While waiting, I thought it was worth asking the guys in the adjacent ticket office on the off chance if anyone had given backword on barrow tickets…unfortunately not. So a few minutes later, mick opens the door and says he has a guy on the phone as we speak saying they can’t go and now have 2 spare tickets. How’s your bloody luck!!! After resigning ourselves to missing the first away game of the season, I now have one extremely happy teenager

 

Ultimately if you outsource a service tho, it’s still your customer base that suffers as result. The fault may lie with a third party but the reputational damage is on your doorstep

 

Forget that!!! Even though (before the glitch) I hadn't nearly enough points for Barrow I still feel indignation at this calamitous catastrophe. I mean we're on the verge of a World War. The planet is burning up and we're seeing a massive cost of living rise. BUT that all pales into nothing compared to losing 20 loyalty points for a few hours.
This goes right to the top. Rupp out! Sparks resign! And Hughes; do the right thing and quit now!

Quite narrow bands them, although I'm sure the club know how many fans fit each category.

Looks like quite a high cut off for general sale too, I've 800+ points from two lots of season tickets, friendlies and around 6 away games next year but it would be my turn to buy a ticket about 3 days after the game by my reckoning.

Going to be mistakes made from the club, and grumbles from us fans but needs to be something that is allowed to bed in properly

 

I suppose you could attend the Hull, Sheffield Weds and Leicester U21 games in both the Cup competitions and that adds 60 loyalty points.

 

The banding will be narrow due to the number of tickets available. With there being about 600 expect to see narrow bands. When the put say mansfield tickets on sale the banding will probably be much wider as they are effectively opening sales to just over 600 people here. With Mansfield where 2,000 tickets are available I expect the banding to start lower down and be much wider.

 

Am glad I paid for a physical season ticket after this mess, The thought of the club getting its IT in order every game does not fill me with confidence

 

I'll be able to buy tickets 3 weeks after kick off of they keep reducing it by 10.

 

I won’t be able to get one until Friday (chances are there will be none left by then) but can’t argue with the scheme at all.
Whatever they come up with will disappoint somebody.
The only thing that I hope they get on top of is the issue you raised - hopefully there will be a away of stopping people buying just for the points but not using.

 

Not a problem really. The vast majority of those coming on a "borrowed" ticket probably wouldn't have come anyway. I lend mine out when I can't attend and my friend brings his nephew, who he wouldn't bring ordinarily. A bum on a seat with a ticket paid for by someone else is better than an empty seat.

If you always go with your boy as long as you have bought tickets using the friends and family option he will have exactly the same number of points as you so again using the friends and family you will be able to get two tickets, one per person

 

I think the crux of it is that when you bought your son's tickets last season you should have allocated them to him. You can do this if he is linked to you as friends and family. If you didn't, you will only get loyalty points for tickets bought for you. The points for the other tickets will have disappeared and not have been allocated to anyone.
Your son will have points for his season ticket and home matches he attended, assuming he did.

 

Phoned the ticket office. Tickets bought today can be collected before 4 pm on Friday. After that, collection is from Barrow on the day.

 

It's difficult and I know it's something all clubs implement, but it's near on impossible to stop it becoming a closed door, particularly with small away ends in this league. If I was someone with 940 points I'd buy a ticket anyway even if I couldn't go as there would be no problem/issue in passing it on, getting more points even if you don't go. It's almost impossible to sort to suit all parties

 

You can't compare. New manager. Positive atmosphere amongst fans. 1st away match of the season.

 

To be honest I was sweating a bit because I didn't think that I had enough points having not checked for a while then when I did look (the day after my season ticket arrived in the post) I realised that my season ticket points had only just been added. That gives me 980!
To be fair to the club it's not an easy situation to manage given that some clubs don't have a lot of accommodation for away fans in this league. Easy for me to say when I am okay but it's a fact, another reason to get (up) out of this league.
