Agree 750 sounds realistic. I’ll be there - advantage of in-laws in the Cotswolds.

 

Get yourself in The Merlin. Decent boozer, pub grub, mixed fans and no bother. 5 min walk to the ground.

A couple of other nearby boozers I’d steer clear of.

Swindon 3 - 0 City.

A footballing side (without Doyle) who will finally deliver our arses on a plate to GB, even though he will still NOT see it, and reel out some crap about illness and lack of will, etc ...........

 

No im feeling a 1-0 win or a 1-1 draw. Swindon without doyle are not a top 3 side. We breezed past them at home.

 

1-1. However if we concede first I’ll be worried where the goals come from when chasing.

Hopefully return to 442. We can still be solid in this formation if we set up correctly.

 

I love it ........ BUT ............ WE have been screaming for THAT for weeks and rarely seen it !!

Games in and around london always seem to get a boost with southern based fans going to one of their nearer games. Also Orient is relatively easy and cheap to get to on the train so boosts the numbers

 

Which are the ones to keep clear of, I was there the last time we played them and no problem with Wetherspoons unless it has changed.

 

I don’t think it can match Gillingham not only is it open to the elements it is 1920s scaffolding with planks of wood to sit on the only good thing is they provided plastic rain macs the last time I was there.

 

Steer clear of the County Hotel right by the ground. And there’s an Irish pub, Famous Pint and Cheese on Manchester Road. There’s some great pubs in the Old Town area - 15 min walk. A fantastic real ale pub - The Gluepot - 5 min walk taking a right if you’re outside the rail station.

Tbf, there’s very little hassle in the majority of pubs.

 

Didn’t rate Swindon in the home game at all. Very slow in possession and our defence kept them at bay in the main. No doubt a very good side to be where they are in the league but few players missing and no Doyle for obvious reasons.

We will no doubt go to frustrate and aim to nick it? 0-1 would be the dream. Not shared by some I know but a win here would be great

 

I’d like to see the team that finished on Wednesday, start at Swindon but I won’t hold my breath

 

I'm going for a late winner in a 1-0 win. We'll soak up the pressure, ride our luck (we've had a bit to date) and smash em on the break when Oteh scores.

He probably can, he's just too stubborn to admit it.

 

Because he's hell bent on keeping a clean sheet more than anything else. Has racked the points up but to the detriment of any real entertainment. Whats your own take on how you lot play football? I've seen a few of the games on ifollow and you tend to pass it around a fair bit more than we do.

 

If you look at the last two home games we were rehearsing for Swindon away. Its a "smash n grab" job this 1-0 City.

 

I’m the same, No one from our crowd bothering, we won’t take more than 600/700 for a number of reasons

The quality of football
The fact we travelled relatively well to the last 2 away games and people pick and choose.

So many fans at Carlisle were saying that’s it for away days until we start to see some entertainment
