If ever we needed to take a large following to an away game then this is a given.

I'll be disappointed if we can't get it together and take at least 1,500

Back in the 80's 90's we would always have a good following with 2,000 plus for teams based in the Midlands Lancashire etc' and 1,000 or so for south coast / London teams

Back in the day, I remember it was one of the worst, uncovered, away ends ever.

It still is! Anything over 900 gets stuck in the Stratton Bank It’s a shocking indictment of how the club has been run over the years. Thankfully, the council have sold the ground as a 50/50 partnership between Power and the Supporter’s Trust with a view to redeveloping the whole thing.

The Town End, too, is exactly as it was when I first went in 1968 - apart from a few plastic seats.

Maybe, just maybe, the club is heading in the right direction at last.

Apparently so. Power bought a golf course a few miles from the town centre. He wants planning permission to have a horse training complex, ‘holiday lodges’ and a training centre for the club. I’d imagine one depends on permission granted for the other.

Our away followings can be pitiful at times.

Really!! we had just short of 1,000 for Orient game which was an average away fixtute.

We are playing the league leaders plus add the 'Doyle' drama and that should equal a good away support

After spending a small fortune on Orient and Carlisle over the Christmas period I’m giving this one a miss. Most of the lads I go with are too, frustrating but the time of year I guess.

At least it matches the football on offer then.

Never mind the ground, I’d like to see a thousand City cars going round that stupid roundabout.

The Orient following was excellent, but I just think we’ll neither match not better that on Saturday (for a number of reasons).

There's always a larger following for the London fixtures, a lot of 'exiled' bradfordians live in the area, my brother included. You'll be looking around 750 for the Swindon game in my humble opinion.

And Power won't not pay more to keep Doyle at Swindon and guarantee promotion, rather strange don't you think ?.

The Christmas period is expensive if you have kids, the football has been anything but entertaining, and many can access the game live on TV.
Credit to the fans who travel but understandable for those who don't.

I don’t know what Power has offered or what you may want. If you do, pray tell.

I guess Doyle would want you to match what he's on at Bradford till the end of the season and then an extended contract comparable to league 1 standards and his goals scoring exploits. Having read a few interviews with Doyle lately the lad knows what he's worth and wants every penny. Could be looking for a 2/3 year deal on good money, who knows? He can come back to us and still pick up his considerable wages till the end of the season, then be a free agent which gives him better bargaining power, let's face it with the amount of goals he's scored there will be a fair few offers.

I'd suggest paying his full wages is not unreasonable wouldn't you agree ?.
I've posted several times IMO both clubs will have discussed the situation, watching Doyle's reaction after scoring him jumping into the Swindon fans it looked like it might have been his last farewell, I'd think it will be announced one way or the other before Saturdays game.

Having seen the last two home games, can I be bothered to get up at 6am, travel half the country and spend about £75 on travel food and tickets to watch a game of anti football where Bowyer will be happy with a nil nil.

    Can't say I'm tempted.
