I am feeling positive that run has to come to an end sometime. Hopefully our sick roll call is over, plus players coming back from injury. We all thought at the start of season it would be gritty and tough no givens in this league. It would be great if we win or draw, but if we lose there are plenty of games left for us to get promoted.

 

Whatever following we take, they will need to get behind the team. It’s going to be a hard game and I’d take a point now, despite their injuries.

As long as their PA isn’t as sanctimonious as the one at Plymouth was, at the weekend, towards Swindon’s following.

 

So, by the laws of football, we're nailed on to win.

We played 4-2-3-1. Cooke and Akpan sat. Donaldson played alone up front with Ismail,Pritchard and Connolly behind him.

 

It wouldn’t be a bad result by any means but we’ve been ahead of them league wise for large parts of the season, the deficit is only 3 points if we win our game in hand (or 0 if we beat them), we outplayed them last time and they appear to have key players missing. Why set yourself up to draw a winnable game?

I was at the last game against Swindon back in October and I loved it, we really gave it to them in the end!!

Now we're away at theirs and they are table toppers, if we get all 3 points today I can promise we are gonna go on to win the league!!

Optimistic I know but If we’re going to recall Doyle then we might even set up to attack today, or at the very least get away from 5-3-2. The only way Doyle would be even half pleased with a recall is if we show him we don’t play pre historic football from the dinosaur age.

 

0–0 is never ,and, can never be a good result . Give your head a shake, mate. It’s this mentality which means we are happy with dire tactics in a piss poor league. How anyone can can defend a 0-0 is beyond my comprehension.

I will be amazed if Bowyer goes for any change of formation against the league leaders away. The only change he will make is dropping McCarten and bringing in either Cooke or Taylor.

 

It would be silly to go at it and find ourselves 2 - 0 down after 30 minutes, we have to play tight and see how it pans out.
I know it's not good for you guys down there but we have a point let Swindon take if from us if there good enough.
