    I’ve already highlighted The Merlin for those that like mingling with home fans with no hassle - disregard the bouncers, I’ve never known trouble in there. The Gluepot is in no way, shape or form a football pub but great for those that like their ale. Tbf, the vast majority of home fans are friendly enough.

    I can categorically say that I’d respect Bowyer more for having a good go.
    However, I will 100% call for his sacking if he goes to defend, bores our fans rigid and still loses the game.
    Does that fully explain my position ?

    It will certainly be interesting if they get an early goal and we are set up with 5 at the back and no wingers Bowyer might just change it on 80min, I am hoping that after the money I have spent to go he does not bore the pants of me and of course the other 800 faithful or so for 90min. Result 1-0 to city

    I dunno, how happy have fans been with the back to back home wins despite being bored to tears.
    Fans that never travel away of course would be delighted with a 95th minute own goal to win the game 0-1 with no shots on target but me personally if I’m spending good money on travelling away then I’d expect some element of entertainment.

    Granted the games are ABSOLUTELY boring and FRUSTRATING but a win any day; especially against Swindon.

    They might have been his words but to be honest they were even worse than we are now for playing any sort of football, and in my opinion they are the worst side I have witnessed at VP this season and that includes the likes of Morecambe/Leyton O, obviously the likes of Doyle has done exceptionally well for Swindon but that will be it for him it’s a once in a lifetime for him at 32years young, just glad we don’t need to worry about him tomorrow but I am sure they have others that are just as good. Bowyer get on the front foot and play two wingers let’s see if they can match us.

    Toughest game of the season so far, obviously.

    I’d be confident of us beating anyone at home but away I think we’re a bit vulnerable mentally and that Bowyer will adopt a ‘don’t lose’ mentality.

    Could make for a drab game but the first goal is key. If Swindon net early it wouldn’t surprise if its 2-0 to them, but if we bag first I think we can shut them out for most of the game and escape with a 1-1.

    If we were to win, that’d be a great surprise.

    If I had a crystal ball and knew which of the above was going to happen then I wouldn’t be attending the game.
    The beauty of football and part of the excitement is the unknown but all anyone can ask is that our team that we follow up and down the country are at least trying to win even if that ends up in a loss.

    Just sums up how pathetic a large portion of our fan base really is. That same group are all to happy to plod along in league 2 until the end of their day's.
