You are right Fordy they are, the lad that they brought on for McAleny early on looked far better than anything on our bench today. Adams seemed very frustrated towards the end of the window, it went from bringing two in to one and then when Robinson came in he said he’s no Lee Angol even though he wanted someone similar as we suspected he’d be out a while. Then followed it up with you rarely get your first choice targets, code for we probably got our 5th choice. It’s all well and good CEO’s and owners talking about promotion, but if we don’t back it up with investment then who’s to blame?
I’ll give you a clue he’s been here since 2016 and all but the first season has seen year on year regression. Let’s hope Adams can do it on a tight budget again. I don’t like hearing stories like on DMACs podcast that he recommended a player to Ryan at the end of the window who’d cost around £150k and felt would get 20+ goals but yet again we’re unwilling to invest that but extra on that missing quality. Considering we had around 6,000 tickets sold after the first two home games on top of surpassing our season ticket sale budget it’s disappointing we haven’t looked to invest that but extra. As if we’re top 3 all season the match day tickets sold would more than pay for any further out lay. The saying speculate to accumulate comes to mind. If any business doesn’t take risks now and again it’ll stagnate then go backwards.
Rupp out.

Some absolute dinosaurs on this board
442 is long gone, we’ve created more than enough chances to win the last 2 games playing the dreaded 4231. It’s football, it happens. Cook probably feeling more pressure now with angol injured. Cook scores next game and we go on another roll.
it’s league 2 football, we have no divine right to just win every game, strikers will miss chances at this level.
Plenty of options to mix things up. Would like crankshaw to get more game time he’s looked lively when he’s played.
I’m pretty confident we’ll be in and around the play offs in jan, hopefully angol and eisa back fit and we can push on. Can’t just expect to walk the leagueStoneski, Bantam75, borderlescott and 7 others like this. -
Traveled down to Salford with the Corn Dolly crew hoping Darb's might make another appearance at the Ring of Bells Middleton, unfortunately he didn't make it.
Steve a guy on the coach brought a bucket to collect for the Darby Rimmer Foundation, he raised £358.77 from patrons on the coach including the three scratch card winners, Steve's employers are Morrison's I believe matched the total collected on the coach generating £717.54 for a great cause.
What a great generous bunch of guys/gals great effort thanks Andy for your text letting me know, any time you fancy a great away day to let the coach take the strain I'd highly recommend these guys.Johnny Yen, vladimir, Craven Koppite and 7 others like this. -

We also have a number of injuries. The overreaction and over analysis of our formation is getting very boring.Ulysses S Grant, Bantam75, Inspector and 5 others like this. -
Wasting wages on Lavery and Robinson instead of going out for a proper striker is going to cost us, all good and well creating chances but if we don't put them away were fecked.

Recruitment has been poor though. It’s undeniable. Of the starting XI today, seven were here last season and one of the four who wasn’t, Kelleher, is a back up option. That’s two thirds of the team from last year’s worst league position in years. Only Robinson, Songo’o and Lavery on the bench weren’t here. We had a team who couldn’t score goals last season and that hasn’t been addressed, Robinson and Lavery only get a few minutes.
The club was talking up the season as one for promotion and yet the majority of the team is last years underperforming one.
Plenty of time to turn it around this season but the league table has clubs above us who have been promoted from the Conference in the last few years. Bradford City are standing still whilst ambitious former non league clubs outperform us. That’s not right.Ponty City, vladimir, Craven Koppite and 5 others like this. -

I'll post here because the Facebook group seems to be filled with the absolute dregs of society with no football knowledge whatsoever.
I'm fed up with the kinda scripted games we play. It's always the same, with Vernam trying his best to cut inside, Cooke and Watt slowing play down looking for a pass past their ability, the LB crossing as soon as the ball is near him despite nobody being in the box and Gillied offering nothing whatsoever apart from one or two decent runs with no end product every game. Evans is a turd and should have been let go in the summer.
Our key midfielder is sat on the bench for some reason, we lost our only attacking threat through injury and we are still holding on to rubbish that has seen many failures during their Bradford City careers which should have seen us move them on regardless of ability.bantamdave41, HipswellBantam, King Cole and 4 others like this. -

Reading some of the OTT guff on here you would have thought we actually played shit today. Stats tells me that we created 17 chances to score AWAY from home and 4 on target. Their GK is MOTM.
On another day we walk away 2-0 winners.
Not concerned at all.

You can blame this and blame that but the fact is we lost to a 90th minute goal,it happens.
Perhaps MOM King just might have been the main reason we lost, he was outstanding between the sticks yesterday.
One of our attempts on goal beats him and it's a different ball game.
My only beef like many have commented on would be to see City play with two upfront but at this moment in time I can't see that happening in which case I expect Cook to burn himself out and become sluggish and frustrated.
He needs support and he's not getting it.dn14bantam, Inspector, Tony Wilkinson and 4 others like this. -
Should we really be arguing amongst ourselves as to who was to blame for Salford's goal?
If we've got aspirations of promotion, we should be burying the likes of such poor opposition, with little concern for conceding a late goal. We should have been out of sight by that stage.Inspector, Bantamsteve, Manningham bantam and 4 others like this. -
We are making more chances but unfortunately were not sticking them away, Cook may be the biggest culprit but he's certainly not alone in missing chances, I hope against Barrow he changes the formation and goes with Cook and Robinson up top, I believe even with one less in midfield we can create chances certainly at Valley Parade.Foghornleghorn, Inspector, NorthernMonkey and 4 others like this. -
