Lavery and Robinson aren't good options for a promotion chasing side. And for all the good work Gilliead does in the game, he couldn't score or assist if his life depended on it. Fact is we're relying on one player to score. None of the wingers have any sort of form for scoring, maybe Eisa aside and we've only got one striker who's good enough.

 

I don’t massively disagree with you but our recruitment hasn’t been poor IMO. Consistent attacking players don’t play in league 2. Not for very long anyway. On another day it clicks and we win comfortably today. We just have to accept that these players are going to be inconsistent. That’s why they are playing league 2 football. I’m still interested to know who people think we should have could have signed this summer?

Yes sorry I tried to make my post as sarcastic as possible, cant quite believe hes still at the club let alone getting minutes.

 

Salford's Wales goalkeeper Tom King, who returned to action after international duty, was in inspired form, keeping out a powerful Cook header with a miraculous save. Looks like Cook cant do much more.....

Look we need a striker that scores 20 a season but we dont have 300k. So we have what we have and we are creating ....

 

These comments are more in line with what we're used to.
The perennial very early season optimism is quickly diminishing.
I said several weeks back that if we're to get out of this league it'll be via wembley.
We're currently an average mid-table side that has made a solid start.
There's plenty of time to prove me wrong and get a top three, however there's plenty to do to get it right!

 

Silly question because it's not our job to know but football is about money and you have to spending that little bit to get the quality required.

Bradford City can't do a building job. It's not our style. The recruitment in the summer was average at best.

You know just looking at the table and if Cooks header goes in and if that close range shot against Walsall doesn't somehow go over the bar at the Kop end we would be sitting joint top of the table.

So I don't think we are not a million miles away from where we need to be.

I agree we do need more goals from around the team but there is plenty of time for that to happen.

There were 5 players not starting today who would get in my first 11 so lets see when they are all available how we perform as a team (admittedly Eisa just based on what he said he can do when he signed for the club ) :

We're not good enough at this moment hence and lack quality but hopefully we can get to the new year in and our the top 7.

The good news is I believe we will win next week. If we don't then it could be a long season for us.
