Salford's budget has been drastically reduced this season and the player recruitment has hardly been anything spectacular when compared against the previous two seasons. We were slow to recruit this time around which resulted in a thread bare squad until the late arrival of something like eight players who have come in on either a season loan or on one year contracts. The bookies prediction of us being title favourites was laughed at by many of us and we've not been proven wrong so far. Hopefully our form will change sooner than later.

Yes. I like listening to Derek and he's very eloquent on subjects he's got free rein on. However, he really gets tetchy when he's put on the spot. Full marks to Jamie, who doesn't shy away from asking the awkward questions that other journalists avoid. Jamie appears to have some inside info and keeps poking Adams with the stick. Adams definitely very uncomfortable on the line of questioning.

I wish they'd conduct these interviews someplace other than the shower cubicle. Would make it a lot easier to listen.

He's got Stuarts "Listen" , down to a tee already. Looking forward to him losing it (hopefully not very often) on the radio. Always good entertainment. Some of Stuarts were classics. I think Hopkin had a good meltdown also.

Don't think Adam's has anything to fear from JR if this form of questioning continues.
JR "What could you have done different this afternoon Derek to win the game?"
DA "Put the ball in the net"
    Love it.

Its hard not to like the fella.
I do like the no-nonsense manner and he does talk an awful lot of sense.

Did you notice that the overblown recruitment of the last two seasonsachieved very little? DA says thst the budget isn't importanr. The key seems to be getting together a ream that has a good blend of ability and ambition. Hope you enjoy laughing at your club.

That is definitely the ethos but there are questions about whether or not we've achieved that we don't have a right back at the club and at the minute we're very short on forwards capable of playing 90 minutes I'm sure things will improve but at this moment in time we have a few gaps which will affect the team and the balance and the togetherness

I very much doubt that will happen, what we've seen so far suggests IMO we'll be there abouts come May.

Well our ‘bogey team’! Unless I am wrong we have played them four times in the league:-
    • 21/12/2019 City 1-1 Salford D
    • 7/3/2020 Salford 2-0 City L
    • 21/11/2020 Salford 3-0 City L
    • 27/4/2021 City 0-1 Salford L
So no wins, a draw and to be totally honest crap results/displays.

It hardly bodes well for Saturday.

Yes they may well be a ‘hobby’ team for the so called ‘Class of 92’, who play in a prefabricated tin point stadium……BUT…..we have, to put it simply ‘done crap’ against them.

I know this may well upset some on here (@Fordy117@Fordy117 ) but a draw against them will not be the end of the world.

They have had a very poor start to the season with 1 win, 2 draws and 3 defeats.

A certain Mr Bowyer is in charge, and in my view, he makes Colin Todd look an attack minded manager. Given the trigger happy owners, then a defeat on Saturday, could see him pushed off the Peninsula!

Parking is difficult in the area, which is largely residential. I would look towards the north of the stadium, Kersal Road or west on Moor Lane.

Went in 2019, which was an enjoyable day out, except between the hours of 2.40 and 5.00pm.

This is a tiny stadium, with a sloping pitch!

    Enjoy the day.

That's almost as steep as Idle Rec which was a nightmare to defend on playing up the hill

Beat me to it Rod. Looking at the Heaton Park event plus us, I think the Bury New Road from Whitefield could be tough so St Ann’s, Lowther, Sandy Lane, Kersal and Moor Lane for me. A bit further but possibly quicker and quieter.

With a bit of luck, most of the festival goers will travel round the M60 to the junction 19 turn off (Middleton), it certainly is the easier way to get to Heaton Park.

Think you have said a draw against every team we have played is acceptable.

A draw against an out of form Salford with a mega boring manager isn’t acceptable.

A draw isn’t the end of the world, remember you said these were your favourites to walk the division, however I would be hoping for a win , without doubt.
