That's rubbish. You could only buy a Carlisle ticket if you had enough loyalty points. If you bought 11 tickets, all 11 people will have needed 1380 loyalty points each at least.

 

No it isn't.

The whole idea of having friends and family within your group is to make sure they all get tickets together in the same row and are sat together.

 

Mick Lamb has always be professional and responsive within an expected timescale when I have contacted him. I do get the feeling that some of the decisions up the food chain cause him no end of problems and being ticket office manager he gets the flack for decisions or issues which he has no involvement in by being front of house.

 

The ticket situation is poor at best I've been waved through when the scanners aren't working so it shouldn't be my responsibility to either go down to the ticket office or ring them to plead my case, I have well over what points are required to get a ticket for Carlisle but if I fell 20/40 short not knowing if my season ticket had been scanned correctly it would be very annoying to say the least.

 

What wrong with that? Better to book flexible travel and accommodation which can be cancelled rather than wait and then not find anything or pay extortionate prices.

Thinking about having a chippy tea and just wanted to run it by you first to make sure I don't mess up. Is it OK if I go pick it up by myself, or should I take the whole family to queue up and buy their own?

 

Seen that Salford have allocated Stockport 516 tickets.

They should do away with this pooling of ticket monies if clubs are going to act like this.
The play offs should be a spectacle in front of full stadiums. Not rank shithousing.

 

Whether they are sold, today, tomorrow, Sunday, Monday or even next Tuesday, there is no good reason at all not to simply announce prices and loyalty banding. If I fell outside the loyalty banding I think I would give it up as a bad job and forget the bunfight come whenever the sales are made. If I fall inside the loyalty banding I would book myself on a coach now. It's a simple thing, it really is.

 

I'm not sure if anyone from the club reads this forum or twitter or even Facebook but the sounds are all similar.

People concerned that they have put on coaches and are worried about filling them or coach companies getting cold feet because they can have secured bookings elsewhere.

I mean if you stuck a deposit down last week and you are still sat with a half empty coach because the club won't even throw the scraps of the magic loyalty number required because it thinks it might make a few quid pushing a membership scheme then you don't deserve the time and effort these people put into arranging coaches.

At this stage in 2 days we will pretty much have a good idea of the final outcome of the first leg. If that was say a 4-0 defeat I wouldn't like to have put down a few hundred quid deposit on a coach that might set off half full.

It's so late in the day now that there is no benefit at this stage in securing transport. Train tickets are £10 to £15 more than they were at the start of the week. If you are gonna have to pay full whack now you might aswell await the first leg result.

No one is even asking for the tickets to go on sale, they are simply asking for the basic information on how they will be sold, if the club haven't worked this out yet, then it really is amateur hour.

Peterbrough are 2 up against a side which had 90+ points this season before half time. Ties can be lost in one game.

My 5 year old grandson can't rock up to City or log on to buy a ticket online via his bank account. How do you suggest he gets a ticket in your weird world where nobody has friends or family?

 

Ryan Sparks actually replied to my second email sending me the rules with the 10% figure highlighted, suggesting this meant we had to give Carlisle 10%. If you read it properly that only applies if the number of tickets given is lower than 2,000. I've had to explain plain English to him, as politely as possible of course.

 

I ended up going into the club for some help with the memberships and spent the time (whilst being sorted) talking to Mick Lamb and his son who were managing the ticket office.
To say they were helpful would be an understatement as it would be if I said they were exasperated at all the complications of the points system, membership farce etc……
I feel a bit sorry for them having to deal with the barrage or queries and complaints they will be handling right now
