God only knows what they’re playing at. Can’t honestly see any good reason they’re not yet on sale. All it is doing is pissing everyone off, simple. Assuming I can get a ticket, there’s no way I’ll be able to get down there to collect due to work commitments, I don’t trust the post, so it will either be queueing at their ground (preferably not) or get a QR code emailed to me

And it’s not just the travel arrangements that people need to make, it’s on a Saturday so everyone needs to know where they stand so alternative personal plans can be sorted if football isn’t an option

A right fine mess at present, the club really aren’t helping themselves whatsoever

I still remember the Reading away shitshow, where tickets were sent down to the ground on the day so people were at the ground not able to collect tickets from Reading as they hadn't arrive meaning hundreds were outside when the game kicked off. I want to be avoiding picking tickets up on the day which is why sales and post now even if it was a few quid more for guaranteed would be an option but every day that passes makes that less likely.

Well if that’s the case, that alienates so many fans. Unless they scrap the 48 hour collection rule AND open til 9pm every day, it’s another pathetic decision. Especially in this day and age with QR capabilities etc

    Absolutely

What makes it even more baffling and somewhat infuriating, is the fact that the club has had them since Tuesday morning and still not said a peep, especially with so much speculation flying around on the various social media platforms

Carlisle have done their bit, so they are IMO 100% blame free. Everyone calls the other teams (like Salford and Carlisle) “tinpot” but nothing is further from the truth

The club have shown since Monday why we truly are tinpot

There are a significant number of Season Ticket holders who live a considerable distance away from Bradford! In our group, one lives in Bedford, and three in two different parts of London.

On here there are loads who live outside, Bradford, Bradford MBC, BD postcodes and West Yorkshire.

In the digital age, when we have got our tickets for the home game as a Bar Code on our phones, then surely that is one solution for the Carlisle away fixture.

It doesn't matter where you live because if you buy a ticket you'll definitely be at Brunton park, so just collect it from the away ticket window like many have done at every away game all season.

I’m sorry but there’s something they are not telling us and don’t want to make public before the first leg.
My guess is we’ve had our allocation cut or they need to ensure tickets are sold to identifiable fans who if then take pyros into the stadium can be banned.
There will be no general sale for this game even in the unlikely event that tickets don’t sell out to band A / B priority

It's not uncommon for tickets to be sold after the first leg, we sold them the morning after the Burton 1st leg (was going to be 10pm of the match). The main priority from Monday was to sell home tickets and sort them out. If they put them on sale today in the usual format it would mean going on sale to season ticket holders on Sunday which would cause mayhem for the ticket office.
If they said they want to get the 1st leg out of the way and tickets will go on sale at 9am Monday morning to fans with x loyalty points etc I think that would be fair.

If they said anything, that would be something.

There are groups with coaches to book, people watching cheap advance rail tickets disappear, friends trying to organise full cars and all we are getting from City is silence.

City will have known since Tuesday (at the latest) how many tickets we have been allocated. They could have announced the arrangements then, even if the actual selling of the tickets was delayed.

    Very poor from the Club.

But what’s the big secret? Why not just tell us the plan?
Tell us when they’ll be on sale and how many points are required then people can start booking travel.

They could simply say that. Then if they say 1,600 loyalty points are required, those with those points and are planning to go can sort out their travel.

We have sold 19,000 tickets for the home game. There will be a few walk up sales at the ticket office over the next two days at best, as everyone who wants to go and would actually be interested in the away leg will already have tickets for the home tie. You could even dedicate a window separate for people wanting tickets to the home game and those for the away game, however most away tickets will be snapped up online anyhow.

The reason the Burton tickets were sold after the first leg and same with Fleetwood was mainly down to the ridiculous turnaround but we have had a period of sale already where literally everyone who intends to attend has tickets already.

Bolton put all the away tickets for Barnsley to online sales only and were sold out in minutes. Once a sale is recorded on the system it doesn't matter if the tickets are posted or arranged for collection next week, people can then plan for travel, coaches etc.

Maybe the club are doing you all a favour in these hard times.
Imagine if you had a ticket for Carlisle now , and we get hammered 4 -0 on Sunday.
Everyone would want their money back.

I bet we are the only team out of 12 in the playoffs that haven’t yet started selling away leg tickets

@Bluebry@Bluebry what are the ticket arrangements at your place? Do they use QR/ Barcode scanning or are they proper tickets?

I'm almost certain there was a barcode on my ticket when I went there last year. Even Harrogate, Sutton and Salford use barcodes, I don't think anyone doesn't.

Yes, it's very odd that the club has said nothing at all about the ticketing arrangements for the second leg. It suggests to me that either the club can't organise a pi$$ up in an away brewery to complement what they did in the home brewery or there's something else afoot. Until there is some kind of announcement either way, fans will continue to speculate.

I can't go to Carlisle even if I have enough points so have no personal axe to grind. I do feel for those many other fans who need to know so they can get their arrangements for watching the game resolved either way. The club needs to understand the fans' concerns and sort out and improve its communication with them. The club appears to have different priorities to the fans. I've received a few emails from the club about the membership scheme and other promotional stuff for example and I suspect most other fans have too. But in respect of getting to watch two of the most important games of the season, the club or rather probably the Head of Ticketing has failed miserably on the communication front. The silence has been deafening.
