It’s ridiculous that with just a week before the game that many fans cannot make travel plans because they don’t know if they’ll get a ticket.
Even if the club didn’t put them on sale yet, they could still advertise what criteria is required to get one.

Prices and allocations are known by the club, they were known Monday no doubt and recieved on Tuesday.

It's Friday and no details as of now are public.

If I'm confirmed within the loyalty bandings I will sort travel out, until then I'm sat on my hands waiting.

I'm 100 certain I will fall within the bandings but want it in Black and White, because after this weeks ticket sales I'm half expecting something out of the ordinary to what has happened for ticket sales, something stupid like 1,000 tickets to be put on ballot or something daft.

 

Yep, could totally understand if they want to delay putting them on sale right now for admin reasons.
However, the common sense approach would be to explain the situation like you say, so people can make plans.
They will no doubt change the criteria in some way, as nothing is straight forward with City when it comes to tickets it seems

 

This is a club who sold FA Cup quarter final tickets on general sale from the off as not to guarantee actual season ticket holders a ticket, as @Loyalbantam knows too well.

Never trust anything till you can see it in black and white.

 

Home ticket sales have hit 19k, there will be a drip feed of sales now until Sunday and anyone will chance of buying a ticket to the away leg will no doubt have their home tickets sorted.

Leaving away tickets off sale for the sake of 1k walk up sales to maximise rhe first leg is not saving much on admin.

 

You might jest but I know for a fact that this happens. Be lucky if there’s 1700 tickets that actually go to fans with required points.
The rest will be handed out as favours by staff / directors / players to sponsors / friends / family as you say.

Back in the day you always had the backup of the City run coaches. If you bought a ticket you could always buy a coach ticket at the same time from the club.
As it stands now you always have to find your own way there and train tickets, hotels, etc that might be used tend to ramp up in price the closer to the game you get. 7 days tends to see the sharpest increase.

I'll be honest, I have driven to every game this season but would be looking at leaving the car at home for this one as I don't want to be driving away from a ground after potentially finishing someone's season for the sake of a few morons who could be in a bit of the mood.

I also emailed the club on Tuesday morning to ask why my son had 60 points less than me, even though we’ve been to every game together and he’s also been to a couple of cup matches with his mate earlier in the season, so in theory should have more than me, not less. Still waiting for a response ffs

I’ve been to 2 thirds of away games this season and my points balance is 1690, the lads is 1630. If the Carlisle away bandings are higher than this, before going on sale to ST holders, I will be fecking fuming
