Away Ticket Fiasco vs Carlisle

This Marco thought the shitshow of home ticket sales was a success.
My daughter was ill and didn't attend a game this season but got the points which completely contradicts what he said.

 

1630 points for me and my lads have over 1400 so should be OK.....3 provisional places on the Dolly bus as well....

 

The ticket situation is poor at best I've been waved through when the scanners aren't working so it shouldn't be my responsibility to either go down to the ticket office or ring them to plead my case, I have well over what points are required to get a ticket for Carlisle but if I fell 20/40 short not knowing if my season ticket had been scanned correctly it would be very annoying to say the least.

 

Hope to be adding two more early Monday morning.

 

We’re not big enough or have the right infrastructure to run something like this.

Many times the scanners for home matches don’t work.

People really use other people’s season tickets or customer numbers to get added points.

Plus if it’s about loyalty some people like @Park bantam for example travel more than say @Bronco to a home match. Not saying @Bronco isn’t loyal but clearly @Park bantam has to take up more time to get to and from games.

The system needs scrapping doesn’t it @wetherbywhaler (sorry we won’t see you in this subject)?

 

I don't get why points are given for attending anyway. The commitment was buying the ticket. Points are given for buying away tickets but no-one has s scooby do about if you attended that match.

In the event that there are tickets available to Season Ticket holders after the loyalty point allocation has gone, does anyone have any idea how the process will be for the sale of the remainder of those tickets?

Will it be an old fashioned first come first serve at the ticket office on Tuesday 9am? Or will it be a phone/online job?

 

It will be the same as what it is tomorrow.

 

It can't be because tomorrow only a select amount of fans (i.e those with 1380 loyalty points or more) have first dibs on tickets, and there's enough tickets for every one of those fans.

After that, there's potentially a few hundred (at best) tickets available for thousands of fans who qualify (i.e season ticket holders).

They will sell out online in minutes. You will need to be online and quick to stick tickets in your basket, once in there you have time to check them out. That's how I bagged Harrogate tickets in the free for all.

 

Interestingly, the page for away ticket info doesn’t exist this morning. It’s “404 this page cannot be found.”

I assume it’s all online. I’m on the 9 o’clock scramble tomorrow. Just missed out on loyalty points.
