Away Ticket Fiasco vs Carlisle

Seen that Salford have allocated Stockport 516 tickets.

They should do away with this pooling of ticket monies if clubs are going to act like this.
The play offs should be a spectacle in front of full stadiums. Not rank shithousing.

 

There's just no incentive to aid the away team as it stands. As someone mentioned, MK Dons v Wycombe last season was a joke. Limited Wycombe tickets and ground was half empty.

 

Isn’t this to be expected, because spectators are an hinderance to Salford, even their own?
It’s one team I wish we had drawn tbh.

Really not to sure myself to be honest, they are referring to the Pettril End being available to home fans ONLY, however in the last decade we have only opened that end roughly half a dozen times (to home fans), of course two of those times have been this season, 13,400 against Tranmere (reduced ticket prices) and 10,900 against Salford (last home game of the season) .The total capacity is around 16,500, and as the Pettril end only holds around 1200, I'm really not sure why they feel the need to give that to home supporters as well, as a total home sell out of nearly 15,000 is IMO unlikely, especially with it being live on telly.

I've got enough points but can't be arsed been shoved into a corner, looking at loads of empty spaces that home fans couldn't get sold.

Terrible view if you end up in the end seats. Have to watch at a weird angle as you are some way past the dead ball line.

 

Well I'm not sure how this works I've just purchased our two regular seats in EXJ section and paid £61 with £3 Web Sales Booking Fee, £30 for me (pensioner) and £28 for the grandson (young person) yet these are the prices the club are quoting for the Carlisle game, I knew I'd have had to pay for the suites but £12 for me and £10 for the grandson ?, good job the government honoured the triple lock with regards my pension .

 

You would think/hope both clubs might have thought about both sets of fans and worked something out, we give Carlisle XXX and in the return game they give City XXX, or is that too difficult.

 

Is it not based on 10% capacity? Which of course if so, will always mean that we lose out.

 

It’s not at all difficult Dave. The numbers may be slightly difficult because let’s face it our blocks are large, but it’s doable within reason.

 

I don't know do the play off games come under the same criteria as Cup games, maybe that's why Orient got 2000 + for today match.
Its years ago since I went to Carlisle and if its pot luck with regards getting a seat with a pillar in front of me obscuring my vision I'll watch it on TV as I did for the Burton game.

 

No the FA Cup rules do not apply to play off games

 

It's 10% up to 2,000 tickets. So if you have a 40k stadium then you only need to give over 2,000 but if you have 20k you also only have to give over 2,000. It's at your own discretion if you want to hand over more.

We could just give Carlisle 2k tickets but have given them more and at the same time pissed off everyone who sits in Midland road to find Carlisle will give us the minimum needed.
