Maybe, who knows. I hope he does well and it does at least bring pace to the side. I just think its asking a lot of a young rookie to fill the gaps we have up front.

 

Thats my main worry is we're asking a lot of a virtually untested 19 year old at senior level.

 

Not something he should be worrying about. It's us that has decided he's the answer to our problems up front, if it doesn't work out, we're the ones that should be holding our hands up, not Samuels.

 

for sure, its on us if he fecks up really. as far as this lads concerned its a fantastic opportunity for him to get going in mens football. as I say I really do hope he succeeds for us

 

Good luck to the lad. I like the fact we have a few young lads in the squad now.
Our youngsterts look to have something about them, lets hope this lad and Bryce Hossanah are even better ,having come from premiership clubs.
The enthusiam of youth, hopefully pushing each other forward and the club at the same time.
Reminds me of Mcall, Hendrie, Abbott, Palin , Singleton, Goddard, Jackson, all young lads mixed with a few senior pros.

Without knowing anything about him, he's exactly the sort of signing we needed.

Young proven goalscorers with pace do not exist in this league so was always going to be a relative unknown. If it goes well we could potentially get him on a free permanent transfer in the summer so really I don't really see it as a loan. Here's hoping it turns out well and he's here for a few more years - good luck Austin!

 

Playing devils advocate here, how can you know he's exactly what we need if you don't know anything about him?

 

He's the sort of signing we need, will have to see if he will deliver or not.
Young, pacey, decent record at U23 level in a prem club, relatively cheap / low risk, available on a free in summer if he's any good.

 

Could well be correct but in truth there's loads of players just as you describe who never get past that U23 stage or end up playing non league. i hope he's one that bucks the trend but i remain sceptical that a completely unproven 19 year old will be the answer to our striking problems. And i can't see him being free in the summer if he has a good season with us, any striker that does well in league 2 will not be in league 2 the following season. Best scenario would for him to have a good season and put himself in the shop window for clubs looking for a striker.

 

Hopefully if he does well, we do well and we can both go up to league 1 together.

 

Ideally but in form strikers come with a premium price tag, one idon't think we are willing to pay.

 

But he's out of contract in the summer and there's a salary cap.

 

if Wolves rate him why's he out of contract in the summer?

 

You'd have to ask them. I guess if he gets off to a flyer they might offer him an extension, who knows?

 

That’s why he is out on loan to earn a contract. They have great forwards very difficult to get in there
