Austin Samuels Joins on Loan

Someone try and convince me that this lad was on our radar before Tuesday!!? What a load of shite.
Hope the lad does well but its poor planning from the club once again and our strike force is now either very immobile or very inexperienced. Zero goals in the conference north last season...let's hope he can make the step up.

 

I hope Stuart had this lad on his radar before the on Tuesday night, after watching the game then watched the highlights and made his decision .

 

I just said it was a miserable comment - a bit touchy this morning! I didnt open up the forum and I didnt call you out but hey, sorry if I have offended you.

Stuart has said we have missed out on some of the targets he had and we are all disappointed we can not seem to attract certain players - but that is where we are right now. I would guess Samuels was on the list (certainly not at the top of it) and last week gave SMc chance to run his eye over him first hand and he was suitably impressed. I said to another poster yesterday if he gets this totally wrong after waiting so long then he deserves to get some flak - but not before we have seen the lad play

 

Definitely a change in approach, no experienced right back or striker.

Looks different to what we have which is vital, whether or not he can actually play is the next test. Omari Patrick got a 3 year contract of the back of one really good goal so I'm wary of rating or knocking someone until they've got a few games in them unless they look proper rubbish. Hope he succeeds and gets some goals for us

 

We could have literally signed a human being with a bit of pace and some of our lot would have got excited. I agree, it does look like a last minute type of signing, i'm sure he would have been available a lot earlier than this for loaning if we'd been seriously looking at him. But that said' i'll give him a a few months before reserving full judgement.

Not sure why people need to read the Birmingham Mail when the same quote from McCall is on the City website.

 

Also earlier in the article says he is looking forward to getting out there and showing 'our' supporters what I can do - if the our (as opposed to 'the') refers to Bradford before he has kicked a ball for us then well done young fella, already gone up in my estimation!
