Something has to change if we lose tomorrow and this poor form continues then they will know how many are actually turning up at games ............ come March time we could be hitting between 6/7k at home do they really believe that all the missing 6k are gonna rush out and buy season tickets next season ?????
If he want his investment back then he’s got to start funding us properly not the 5th best budget but the best budget ............. I mean who in there right mind would pay the price he paid for a club that has gone badly backwards ???
At the time he bought us we had a side that was on the brink of smashing into the championship with gates of 17k plus ...............now we are at best a midtable league two side that look more likely to drop down into non league football than get promoted with REAL gates of less than 10k so logic says that nobody is gonna pay him the same money for a club in decline

 

If the fans really turn against Adams then he is finished here, If Sparks tries to defend him rather than replace him and the fans turn against Sparks then he to is finished here,

I am, I can't remember anyone posting they were not the right people to purchase our club, more so when Rupp's wealth was being quoted.

 

There were some getting very excited, dreaming of new 40,000 stadiums and PL football.

 

It's worse, because if Hopkin hadn't bottled it we could have stayed up and it might be a different story

 

A few banners could get media coverage both at home and in Germany. Rupp doesn't like adverse publicity. Lower attendances will just sit under the radar and hurt the supporters more than him. We need to show potential investors that we're not happy with the status quo and looking for change.

 

But Fordy, when you had chance to question Adams and Sparks you didn't even go! You could have made it more awkward for them.
I agree with you about Adams in particular - I have said since day one he is a strange character and a few weeks back that I honestly don't think he is the right fit for our club (not just based on results and performances, it's a gut feeling)
But highly unlikely Sparks has the gonads to change things now even though in his most honest moments he must know its not working out as planned

God knows but this drifting along ain’t doing him any good at all he either backs us or just fooks................... I just don’t get his mentality because if he’s after his money back then as it stands that value will continue to go down ....... I mean you think the same number of season tickets will be the same next season if this season fizzles out ???
Thousand won’t bother renewing and can you blame them ??? false empty promises yet again and this as been going on for years now

 

I think it speaks volumes that after his achievements with Plymouth, the only job that he could attract is at the smallest club in the football league.

 

Fordy, You are correct in what you are saying. The club needs a chairman / owner that is more hands on , to keep Sparks and Adams on their toes. Unfortunately at this time we have mr Rupp , who appears to have little interest .
Until someone comes along, that is willing to meet his asking price, we are stuck with him and no amount of protests will get him to leave.
This constant calling of fellow supporters as mugs, dancers or happy clappers , does you no credit.
We all want the club to win football matches , playing good football and to progress up the football league.
You appear to be very frustrated by all that goes on at vp, if so do something about it , start a protest group for what it is worth, or even better start a fans buy out.
Every great campaign , needs great leaders , no matter what the ultimate objective is.
On a side note to all this. The squad of players we have , are far better players , individually, than they are currently showing, maybe not a team, which is down to the management. They are not above blame or responsability though.
I personally think after yesterdays no show, we will have a big week ahead , transfer window wise.

 

I agree if there was someone out there who had the money or the backing to change things for the better and asked for backing from the fans to force the owners hand then I would be all for it. But as things are I believe a change of ownership would make little difference

 

Especially when that one person is a faceless keyboard warrior.

I get why Fordy has riled some people up on here as I don't think we are mugs, we're just very loyal and passionate fans, and due to our Pre-Rupp success we're used to thinking we might actually pull a result out of the bag. I constantly disparage the capability of this squad, and given our new signings, even I thought going into yesterdays game that we could bag a few goals and play some decent football.

As for Rupp and any potential new owners - the idea that nobody is lining up to/will buy us is just wrong as Rupp turned down that crypto-sports group last month and declared himself our saviour. Prior to that I believe there was a consortium that unfortunately didn't meet the price Rupp set. We're obviously an asset worth having or else Rupp would have sold, or nobody would have ever offered to buy.

Personally I've been boycotting games since October and think the best course of action would be a total boycott of home games. With the size of VP, a decent boycott would have a good effect - 7000 supporters is good for league two, but at VP it would look sparse. Fans can at least still go on their away day trips as it can be fun even if we're shite. I think we need to make owning the club as uncomfortable as possible for Rupp and a boycott is a good start.

 

Flynn or for goodness sake Jones and a bowyer partnership. Any one but this fire effort every game. I don’t see any improvement on or off the pitch… at least kenwright fronted up Our lot are locked away in a pickling jar never to be seen like a fine wine .., when they show we may be done … we need to sort it soon. No long term projects here he just does not fit mr DA….
