It happens every season it’s not a one off, so it will happen again next season we on here can do nothing about it regardless of the ranting everytime we don’t win. Just because we take a large away following isn’t going to turn this lot into a winning team I’m afraid. Until Rupp goes get used to league 2, the options are to accept it, protest or just not go anymore and vote with your feet. I’ll be doing the later next season unless something drastic changes. And no a new manager won’t convince me to renew, as Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results so I have no faith in manager number 9 or whatever it will be being a success under Rupp.

As for Sparks he should stick to the business side and not talk football matters, he’s gone on about our youth team been our future then he hires a manager that rarely promotes youth, has gone through 3 managers himself and declared only promotion will do. He’s got a big gob but we haven’t seen any results from these promises.

It speaks volumes that said club are in the league above us…

We are not a big job people like to believe we are. Bristol Rovers below is in the league took the same amount to Swindon yesterday which is a longer journey, our ‘massive’ following aren’t as special as people would like to believe either.

Because we have a big ground and sell a lot of cheap season tickets and were in the top league 20 plus years a go we think city is a massive club .

Fordy, You are correct in what you are saying. The club needs a chairman / owner that is more hands on , to keep Sparks and Adams on their toes. Unfortunately at this time we have mr Rupp , who appears to have little interest .
Until someone comes along, that is willing to meet his asking price, we are stuck with him and no amount of protests will get him to leave.
This constant calling of fellow supporters as mugs, dancers or happy clappers , does you no credit.
We all want the club to win football matches , playing good football and to progress up the football league.
You appear to be very frustrated by all that goes on at vp, if so do something about it , start a protest group for what it is worth, or even better start a fans buy out.
Every great campaign , needs great leaders , no matter what the ultimate objective is.
On a side note to all this. The squad of players we have , are far better players , individually, than they are currently showing, maybe not a team, which is down to the management. They are not above blame or responsability though.
I personally think after yesterdays no show, we will have a big week ahead , transfer window wise.

Let’s face it Adams was the best qualified manager for the job sometimes his interviews make me cringe his tactics mystify and selections baffle me. However changing managers every few months doesn’t and hasn’t worked we need to stick with him and give him time to get it right before starting again

We are a massive club in League Two. Ground, history and fan base, all point to us being massive in the context of this tin pot league.

it doesn’t give us any divine right to be promoted but lets not down play it down and be happy to exist just because we were a tinpot club in the 80s, 40 years ago etc.

We are a massive club and its a disgrace we continue to underperform every year in this league.

One look at that shack of a ground at Barrow, recently……christ, that was a reality check. Another one is forthcoming at Harrogate, where 2,500 City fans are chasing only 500 away tickets.

Chronic underperformance every year since we lost to Millwall in the playoff final. It’s a joke. Sick of it.

We had a budget good enough for promotion and the board stated it was our aim. Now deliver it.

Fordy talks some nonsense on here but he’s right this time. Stop accepting second best at this football club and start putting pressure on Adams as he’s not performing.

I agree if there was someone out there who had the money or the backing to change things for the better and asked for backing from the fans to force the owners hand then I would be all for it. But as things are I believe a change of ownership would make little difference

We’re a set of mugs though. We go in our numbers home & away and expect the rubbish. Rupp isn’t hands on but needs to be and again we expect it.

I can only give you examples of other clubs in better positions not accepting their owner or CEO doing nothing.

We should be forcing Rupp to say at least he’s looking to sell. We do nothing! It’s a joke really.

A football manager gets judged on results and targets.

He can’t even get back to back bloody wins FFS. We are wasting our time with Adams as manager.

Adam’s was tasked to take us up this season!

Wasn't there a group of investors interested last month, yet they got shot down in flames, abused and told they weren't right for Bradford City? So serious they were in taking us over, that Herr Rupp got out of his sportscar and made a statement! It's going to be very hard to find someone to take us over, when fans seem to know better, and our current chairman doesn't want to know full stop!

No Fordy , i am not a mug, neither are you , or any city fan. What i am is a realist. i understand where we are and why in the football pyramid. If i had the finance to do something about it, i would, because i have an affinity going back almost 50 years. As long as Bradford city are playing , i will be there , no matter who own's the club or how poorly we are playing.
I might not like the situation , but i am loyal to the club , not the owner.

That's the issue at the heart of this. At the moment, Rupp owns a club that is paying its way without him having to dig into his own pockets. Imo he'll be content to let that continue until the point at which his investment is at risk or it requires his money to stop it sinking any further.

Looking around VP on match day suggests to me that many thousands of fans are already voting with their feet. That doesn't cost Rupp much money at the mo. The crunch will come for Rupp and Sparks when the STs go on sale for next season and we see how many of the no-shows choose not to renew. Those decisions by lots of individual fans will cost the club real money. Without making that up somehow, we'll have little if any chance of getting promoted next season either despite what Sparks might have to say.

If fans want to make a stance about the ownership or management of the club, do something which will hurt Rupp in his pockets. Don't buy a season ticket for next season.

Have this group of serious investors, come back with a better offer or moved on to another club, i have heard nothing.
I personally know very little about this crypto business, but thier model of selling things to finance the clubs investment, seemed a bit mis guided to me, as keen as i am on city, even i would not buy a share of Gareth Evans shorts

If there are serious people out there interested into buying this club who knows there maybe be someone who reads this forum let them submit a serious offer. By that I mean a fair offer nothing like what the owner is reported to want by unreliable sources but realistic and it’s not entertained then that is the time to harness fan power. However any new owner are very likely to be Lawn and Rhodes mark 2

Sorry, but you couldn't be more wrong.

If Adams had been unemployed then you might have been right in that he was the best unemployed man for the job.

He was gainfully employed and under contract. Taking him was a panic measure based on trying to employ someone Twitter Boy saw as the "new Neil Warnock". Someone whose promotion credentials in getting Morecambe promoted during a pandemic had blinded him.

Just one look at how dour he is, how dour Hopkin, Jeffrey's and Docherty were, and how all failed, should have screamed 'stay away from dour Scottish managers'.

We needed a straight talking, charismatic manager, not afraid to front up supporters and tell them why he did things rather than an excuse merchant.

A lower league Dyche who would tell it like it is and not constantly bullshit. A tactical savvy version of Stuart with some passion that would endear him to the support.

    Instead we got Victor Meldrew.

Totally pointless. Rupp has his price, you want the club, you meet it. He won't budge so why waste your breathe expecting him to reduce his price.

I was replying to @Fordy117@Fordy117 about fan pressure the time to use it is when he gets a realistic offer and refuses to consider it
