No it was about employing a manager who has been there and done it and Adams has. He has been a major disappointment so far but could still deliver with patience

 

Wrong again. It would remove first of all the apathy of a missing owner and secondly the ineptitude of an over promoted social media manager.

 

And as an employed manager, ie one already in a job, we could have done so much better. I don't need to list examples, but at least ten of the men employed as manager at the clubs that finished above us last season would have done a better job than Adams and all would have been potential targets. Especially Bonner at Cambridge and the managers at Cheltenham & Exeter.

Adams took Morecambe up with the smallest budget in the football league that’s a fact not hindsight. He was the best we could have possibly expected without the benefit of hindsight

 

Fan pressure would do absolutely nothing, because we wouldn't even know he had rejected an offer until Parker reported it. If at all.

For all you or I know he might have already rejected a dozen.

If someone makes an offer he can't refuse, he will sell. Until then he will bat back any offer made and it doesn't matter who protects or how, he isn't going to be swayed by what we think. That's reality. We are customers and the only way we can influence anything is by a negative financial impact on the club we love.

Owners, especially absent ones, don't care or listen to what we think.

 

He took them up in a season affected by a pandemic. Extreme circumstances, yes they affected everyone, but in a normal season morecambe would have been no where near the play offs.

 

Nonsense.as for fan pressure all the prospective buyer has to do is make it public and it gives fans something to rally round.

 

Your certainly that Mr Adams was the best man for the job isn't backed up by our league position indeed but for a bit of early season form we would be staring at the trap door astute managers have learned how to play us his inability to change that is obvious

Did you consider Jewell or Kamara the best men at the time probably not but they were at least given an interview, a chance to impress and proved their worth
As you say his interviews are cringe worthy he needs to think again if he believes he is fooling the majority of the fan base

that's time wasted we don't have that, the fan base is diminishing at the moment but for the sake of changing managers "hasn't worked before" we stick with him can't see your logic there if your car is failing you get another one

Whoever we were to choose we would be unlikely to pick anyone with a better CV at this level. As I stated before I have been more than disappointed in Adams so far but I think this time we have to stop the merry go round till at least the end of the season to see if he can turn things round

 

There has been no such agreements at other clubs where this has happened Newcastle for example

 

There's a massive difference between having a "good" CV and actually adding to it (he isn't)

Can you remember the days when we had owners who used to be sat in the stand with there scarfs on at match days when we were a proper football club and proud. Now we have this chap who might as well be from another planet, does he actually exist, where does he live, what does he look like, when did anybody from city last see him, can he remember where we play and has anybody told him the new name for the ground. For gods sake man sell the club and let's get an owner sat in the stand with that scarf on.

 

And who is putting the fans down? It was aimed at those who sit on places like here and social media and think we should piss the league because we take a few thousand 30 miles away, we aren’t the only club who can do that as I was just pointing out it doesn’t give us a divine right to expect promotion in fact it’s an irrelevant factor, otherwise Morecombe, Burton, Accrington, Fleetwood and others wouldn’t be above us in the pyramid. I have full respect for those fans who make the effort to support this or any other football club and fans of other clubs want the same as us even if they don’t have as big a fan base.

 

To Fordy’s original question-yes. There’s very few clubs who have declined as much as and as consistently as us.

I don't think any true and sensible fan thinks we should 'piss' this league due to the size of our fanbase, and no team has any divine right to achieve anything. It takes proper planning, quality and bloody hard work- 3 things we are not very good at!
